Has the topic hardcore mode been talked about?
Here is my example:
Repairs on, no 3rd person, 20% bonus to winnings, xp and cbills.
This would stop the 12-3 games as you would have to have the cbills to play, 5 mill in bank to be eligable?
I miss repairs it made for more dynamic game play instead of rush to get kills.
Just a thought.

How exactly would this stop 12-3 games? I'm really not seeing it.

Hardcore:
Refit and repair turned on.
Canon weapon damage and armor values.
Minimum pilot rank to play.
Potential mech loss/salvage options.
No turrets.
No 3PV.
No Arty/Air strikes.
No team status %.

Yep. Lots.
My 10th take on it is that the 2x armor values should go to 1x (or just double the damage output if they don't want to deal with decimals on the odd numbered armor). Maybe also remove the "C3" ability all mechs have to give targets to friendlies. Finally, add repair and rearm costs (not optional, always full rearm/repair) at the end of each round (but never going in the negative, just to 0 CBills if that much is incurred).
By doing this the hardcore mode is self-contained and won't spill out into non-hardcore mode games so you can choose either or at will.

tough guy?
Either way....getting dropped in games with people that 1. run in and die quickly is annoying, 2. run assaults like recon mechs. 3. run light mechs like assaults.............
I guess I'm just annoyed that this game is for the lowest skilled players.
x2 armor value...I forgot about that.
ghost heat
timed guass
shaky rectical on JJ's.
Would be nice to have a game mode that didnt ****** the game.
Or atleast give us some choices on drops.
Pretty soon is it going to be NH/UA? cause we all know how hard it is to to manage heat and properly supply our ammo.

How is that hardcore if you can't lose anything but instead just improve your income? Repair costs are a joke considering I currently drop with 3 consumeables every match
How about 5000% more earnings when your team wins 0 earnings when your team loses.
You have the option to insure your mech for 50% of it's value (items, upgrades included) each time you drop.
You salvage a mech you destroy by legging or headshot (no reactor core breach), if it's insured(regardless of engine kill) you get paid 50% of it's value.
You lose your mech when killed unless it's insured.
Salvage payments are only valid if your team wins.
No Elo restrictions, no tonnage restrictions, no 3/3/3/3. Matchmaker takes the first 24 from the que and distributes these players into 2 weight-wise-even teams.
Hero and Champion Mechs can't participate.
FYI: 5000% more is roughly 10millions on a decent match and around 3 millions if you barely contributed.
