The overwhelming majority of you guys have been helpful.

The other areas of the forum frequently are - if not half, frequently full toxic.

Which comes from the series some - canon has been (frequently) vague or contradictory frequently throughout it's run, leading to many people having conflicting (and strong) opinions on how it "should" be done. :)

Edit: typos.

Yes, well, I remember playing this game as a teenager in the '80s, 16 color, 3d graphics. Simple polygons. That was back when the biggest, baddest mech was the battlemaster. We also had the warhammer, maurader, and "rifleman" (now jaegermech).

Good times back then. Multiplayer was accomplished by one person manning the guns, the other steering, using the same keyboard. We even had a massive, color, 13-inch CRT to play on. So yeah, there are canonical issues.

So yeah, there are canonical issues.

Discounting the unseen (risky, I know) there is still the issue with the MG locations on the Twolf prime - as there were at least some sourcebooks printed "wrong" (IE - one in each side)

Weight and bulk issues (Thug's PPC is 10% smaller than the Warhammers - which has yet to be more than fluff - and it may be fluff, but people take that very seriously sometimes - see all the arguments about burst fire AC - putting the Pontiac100 AC/20 into Yenlo, they took the LRM out to balance the weight - but the actuator is never mentioned as being removed, implying that that particular AC/20 is no more bulky than the AC/10 it replaced - just heavier)

Movement issues (the free sourcebook I got mentions nothing about height limits for JJ, just distance)

Rate of fire issues (Base TT has the AC/2 firing once every 10 seconds - another published rule-set has it firing every ~2.5 seconds)

They are generally small enough (to not bother TT play anyways)- but big enough that they have generated more arguments than they are worth.

Edit: And then we could go into the unseen - but that is more an issue with another company. :)

If you are literally doing nothing in a match, you are breaking some big in game rules. If people report you, expect to have some action taking on your account. If you are merely saying you feel like you are doing nothing in a match, that's a different story...
