What an amazing and constructive post.

LRM boats tend to be reasonably mobile, with only a 1K (2 square) range, aswell as needing to avoid verticle obstacles, staying still results in poor success rates.

Furthermore, it would mean you're away from the group making you easy pickings for lights or groups.

On top of that, LRM hit percentage is roughly 33%, meaning they miss 2/3 of the time.
They're also significantly heavier than other weapons by damage, AND take more ammo to do the same ammount of damage.
Add in they have direct counters (ECM / AMS / Warnings / Shutting down / etc), and they're far from the worse thing out there.

Now, if you're just standing in the open, not using cover, or trying to charge LRM boats head on from 1K away, then yes, you're going to get shot with missiles.
(Though it's still going to take 2-5 tons worth of missiles to bring you down depending on the mech).

- Also, if google is right, telling things / people to get cancer and die isn't very nice.

Not Rambo style. i meen that-Atlases go over the enemy tank some damage and other mechs go from behind.and cover atlases.but in game i see next.Group of our Allies stay at one side of the rock and scared Enemy Group stay at other side.it`s idiotic.
P.S collisions of landscape math on 146% on client and server.the best collision.(if someone don`t undestant it`s SARCASM!)

You're in a gigantic robot, the most technologically advanced weapon ever created. However, you don't have a single weapon that can compete with the range of an ancient 120mm smoothbore cannon.

That's a yes.

looking at My weapons Stats LRM rank 22-26 with 31.78% High Accuracy with a 25.93% Low Accuracy, where LB-10x has a 73.11% accuracy. If my LRM had the Accuracy of my LB-10x we would not be able to hear your complaint over the screams of death you would have.

I don't get it. What is the difference between getting your ass kicked by LRMs, and getting your ass kicked by DF weaponry? I mean, either way you were poorly positioned or out-manuevered.

Oh red letter day, how I miss thee.

Its because LRMs can be fired behind cover and are lock on weapons which gives it an impression of being ease mode which is why people complain about LRMs and want it relegated to the garbage bin even though LRMs have so many hard counters too them its not even funny, not to mention they are inaccurate as hell with out TAG, NARC, and Artemis.

Its sad because I have probably only died 3 times to LRMs ever sense their buff but some people are screaming bloody murder and saying its OP, which I just don't see.
Even when LRMs were being used heavily at the time by people wanting to try the LRMs and NARC, not to mention PGI put in the Stalker Champion with 60LRMs, I still didn't run AMS on any of my mechs, nor did I run my 3L, my only ECM mech, and still only died to LRMs 3 times, and I usually play every other day for several hours.
So either I'm that good or people are that bad.

Oh, you guys will love this. One of my friends, who hates LRMs by the way but thinks the FLD meta is completely fine, starts doing his usual LRM rants, then describing mechs with missiles as being crap one game but then starts complaining that LRMs are OP the next.
I was like, how can they be trash and OP at the same time?!
He also doesn't think they should be as effective as they are even when said target is TAGed and NARCed. I just wanted to bang my head against a brick wall.
And this guy thinks killing 3 mechs and has done 600 damage is a bad game for him. He pretty much lives in his meta Highlander, and if he is not in that he is in a Phract 3D, also meta.
All I can say to him and other who have the same mind set, is this... Get over your selves!

Know a lady up here who makes them - cleans them and dries them before giving them to ya.
Best of both worlds :)

Older lady - from back before any of the stores moved up here.

There probably are a few people like that in your area - but they generally don't advertise much.

IE: The lady I know does it for friends and family.
I never got pants from her, sadly, I just met her once.

You should try and befriend her then.

I hope there are places like that around here, I never see them but that doesn't mean they are not here.
