I get this in the loading screen often enough, I havn't thought to pay attention at the win/loss connection or "difficulty" of the matches when it occurs.

I don't think so. As often as I see it, I've never disco'd, and my ping is normally in the 60's.

I'm fairly certain it has little to do with your connection...

This. I see it - grey, blue/grey, and blue, and I never have connection issues. I also can't correlate it to any matchmaker wierdness, but I don't think anyone actually believes that's involved.

Little square icon in the upper left corner of the screen on the map loading screen. (when it happens, I see it maybe 1 out of ten matches)

I have never seen it, but I never have connectivity or lag problems.

Might be something to do with insufficient RAM/VRAM. I get it all the time, and my computer is a few years behind what is supposed to be able to run this game.

Not sure that's something the UI team would find funny though. Considering that, the spectate function seems more likely. That, however; wouldn't explain why some users get it frequently, and some not at all.

Maybe the devs just think my builds are funny.

No. My PC is well beyond the recommended requirements, and I see it frequently.

i see it half the time these days, it used to be more. it's been around for a very long time well back into open beta days. wouldn't surprise me if it's a left over artifact when the score screens got updated or that it's a match been data mined for another flawed graph in the works.

either way it isn't that important.... is it?

edit: just asked people in a few matches, most people aren't awear of it {told i'm on the musroomz now} but for those who do get it it would seem it happens to players on one team and not the other? an elo indicator, stand to gain loose sign? the time of it's being and elo are fairly simillar... or is it realy just a left over artifact?
