We are having a problem with the profiles when two people share a computer. WIndows 7 home premium x64. Each person has a separate logon but when they attempt to make changes to the configurations in MWO (settings/keybindings) it messes up the other persons settings. Do I need to modify the system config on each profile to get this to work or is there an approved method of doing so?

It shouldn't mess up the other computer/profile settings. When going into *Where you installed MWO*\Mechwarrior Online\MechWarrior Online\USER\Profiles , you can see where your settings are in the XML files, and they should be completely separate from each other. These settings aren't server based, so it shouldn't affect another computer's profile usage at all. (Remember however, both computers start with default settings.)
However, if you are saying that one profile's settings in one computer is affecting another profile's settings on the same computer, then yes I've seen this before. I dunno how to unlink both profile's settings, but once you change one profile's settings, it'll affect the other profiles, but I've no idea how to solve this.

The later is exactly what is going on. They are on the same computer. Hopefully someone has a way of fixing this.

one question are you using different windows login accounts? if you are then you could set the file permissions to only allow that person to change the file.
Also, I had a problem where the profile (directory and the xml file) was set to read only (somehow it happened after a patch) and so any changes I was making was not getting saved, this may be the problem that you are running into. A quick way to check would be to make changes to one account, play a match, close mechwarrior, reopen and see if the changes were kept. (or conversly use file explorer to check the attributes of the file)
