Tiers FOR PLAYERS are influenced heavily by damage and kill counts. However, they are supposed to measure skill. A tier 1 player should be able to outperform any player from another tier.

Tiers for mechs such as saying that the Timberwolf is a tier 1 mech, describe how good the mech is. That relies on several elements, those being hardpoint count, hardpoint location, max engine size, hitboxes, and quirks.

A tier 1 mech is one of the best mechs in the game. While a tier 5 mech is supposed to be one of the worst mechs in the game.

tiers, for mechs, keep changing as quirks are adjusted, however, one of the virtues of MW:O is that the pilot really makes a difference, so even a tier 5 mech in the right hands can obliterate it's opponents.

Nope, that's the order the enemy was originally targeted by your team in. Starts at A and goes through the alphabet. You don't see the mech variant lettering on the kill messages.
