The Plan has been around since autumn last year, it isn't updated often. Personally, I only look at it after patch day to see if it's been updated, just to see if any number have changed. I think the last time it changed was February, maybe the beginning of March.

I think they update it once a month.

@Davers
If so the number's and/or projects didn't change until sometime this past week. New components are the Command Wheel, VOIP, Spectator, Loyalist Unit Life, Visual FX CVARS. The Inner Sphere Map was removed back in February (iirc) but should be returning at some point (according to Bryan).

Yup. VoIP, Spectator Mode, and Command Wheel are definitely new additions. I think Loyalist Unit Life was on longer though, with the same description.

This isn't an update of the Plan or of anything. It's just randomly changing numbers that really mean nothing.
"Oh look they change the 10% to a 50%" Well what the heck does that mean.

What work has really been done. Give us real information!

In my best Jack Nicholson voice...

"You couldn't handle real information!"

LOL!

If only we could bottle Hate and Vitriol. The world wouldn't need worry about running out of Oil... ;)

Yeah, I'm not totally sure on LUF, I remember Loyalist Life being on there, just can't recall there being two Loyalist boxes plus the Loyalist Points.

You're right Roadbeer. It shouldn't be 5% it should be 50% because everyone knows "Knowing is Half the Battle." and PGI knows they are [redacted].

They had a meeting once about 'we should do this'. That's 5%

Command Wheel before design (actually needed elements):

Command Wheel after design:

One pedal coming some time later or soon, Paul says one is enough, new unneeded functions added for xyz. Functinality of turning the wheel has been removed. Directional buttons have been added to compensate.

Perfect metaphor, for the original PGI desgin process. XD

The Plan™

So, almost a year late and not even close to done.
This technically is on par with the definition of vaporware.

100% seems to mean "It's launched, regardless of issues, bugs, features within, ease of use, optimization, etc." which plays right into "minimal viable product"

What would be nice, would be if we knew what those arbitrary numbers translated to.

0 - 5% = Sketch on a cocktail napkin
6 - 10% = Told someone else about it who thought it was a good idea
10 - 20% = We had a meeting and over half thought it was a good idea.
20 - 40% = Someone is working on a PowerPoint presentation or drafting a CC post on the topic.
40 - 60% = We mentioned it on NGNG
60 - 80% = We put it on a whiteboard for a department to work on it when the backlog is cleared
80 - 95% = SoonTM
95 - 100% = It's in QA and/or released, now for whack-a-bug.
