Buying AND selling a Cicada-2A Champion in its entirety is much easier in acquiring C-bills.

Why not just peg 1 MC = (X) Cbills and have it translate across the board?

Instead you are just making up arbitrary numbers for the value of buying Cbills based off of the component resale of items from purchased mechs.

Who is dumb enough to participate in this rip off? I'll just keep doing what I'm doing normally. If there is a mech I want and dont feel like grinding for weeks since I have limited time I'll purchase mc, otherwise I'll stick with just playing the game and getting cbills the natural way.

I might ask are you not missing a few zero's after (6,500,000) like this? (65,000,000)=4000 MC?
(24,000,000)=1600 MC? or (11,000,000)=800 MC?

Double, at the very least, the amount of Cbills you're giving players for real money, cut out the MC to Cbill conversion altogether, remove MC prices on normal mechs, and you'll have something.

There's no point in buying CBills directly, their buying power is based on the selling of mechs not on the purchasing of them. So you're getting ripped off.


It would be reasonable for someone to want to purchase 10 million CBills, with which they could purchase a mech and outfit it. But the way it is now to not get ripped off you have to buy the mech with MC, then buy another mech that is on discount with MC and sell it. Makes no sense.

Just including this for completeness not because I agree with one side of the argument or the other. I'm not sure what percentage of the population is both cbill poor and has bays to spare but:

If you don't have any free bays (and selling one of your Mechs to make room is inadvisable because you've already paid the DHS tax), you can't buy and sell the champion Jenner for less than 1750 MC. (Champion Spider would be 1535 minimum).

So if your MC balance is low, it is conceivable that at least one of these packages could be the best rate you can get.

One final (slightly off topic) suggestion, make it so any mech purchased with MC comes with their own free mech bay. Its just the right thing to do.

According to MWO Wiki, the AWS-9M is 4,615 MC for a 11,534,852 c-bill 'Mech.
However, reselling that 'Mech will (IIRC) only net you something like 50% of the C-bill value (e.g. ~5,767,426 c-bills), which is a worse ratio than any of the c-bill packages.

• AWS-9M C-bill ratio (assuming 50% resale value): 1249.71 c-bills per MC
  
• 800 MC package: 1375 c-bills per MC
  
• 1600 MC package: 1500 c-bills per MC
  
• 4000 MC package: 1625 c-bills per MC

As pointed out in the thread linked by Rouken, there are several 'Mechs with better MC to c-bill conversion ratios (namely, the Champion versions of the Lights & the Cicada).

WOW its like $16.00 USD for (6,500,000) Cbills crap that does not even but a crap mech so $32.00 USD=12,500,000 cbills = 1 good mech? this is so funny ok everyone just----look below for what you get.Come on PGI I could see 4000 MC for (65,000,000) Cbills get real give us lube to soften the blow.
