It's my favorite single player MW game, far and away, but let's keep our rose tinted glasses in check.

It was an absolute nightmare.
The campaign tho, good times to be had...

TOTALLY. BROKEN. MULTIPLAYER.
If PGI sets out to create single-player content, I want them using MW3 as a model for immersion, mission briefings, and scenario design. In the absence of that glorious day, the influence of MW3 on multiplayer needs to be kept to a minimum.

Only if it takes a year longer than claimed, it is the communities fault if we are disappointed with the results, and it is in fact MW2 that was reskinned because "there weren't enough people to do MW3" but we only find out when it drops.
I want nay demand the full experience I have come to expect.
but MW3 with graphics would be nice.

You guys are killing my childhood BWHAHAHAHAHA! I just liked the AC's and PEW PEW CS. Oh and the models for the time were still better than MW4. Damage effects were cooler and cockpit glass smashing was sweet. Screw balance. Im talking all the cool looking stuff.

You said "Nay" Who the hell says "Nay" Change. HAHAHA. And single player was awesome along with weapon effects. They can do all the balancing crap on top of it.

Guys, the older MW games are TERRIBLE! You remember the games with rose colored glasses.
Ok, here is the shenanigans that I've done in older MW games.
1. MW Mercs-2. Had my leg shot off, tipped over forwards like a log, won the fight anyways, and used my jump jets to slide overland to the waypoint to end the mission.
2. MW-3. Legged everything. Didn't matter what, just leg them = win. It was so annoying and broken that I couldn't bare the game after I figured that out.
3. MW-2. Empty zones of pyramid mountains, and that was it. There was NO terrain. It was so dissappointing.
4. MW-4. Multiplayer = broken. Period. Nothing else. There was nothing balanced about it. Don't even try to defend it.
MWO is by far.....BY FAR....the best multiplayer Mechwarrior game. Don't give me this line about how the older games were better, because I have played them and cannot even try to agree with this.

actually, the MW2 titles were great, for their time. MW3 was solid too, and MW4 did have it's good ideas, but was too "console" feeling. But the things that made them great was not really their game mechanics, except compared to other titles of the time.
And in that, MWO torches them, even with the issues we have. There are a few things I don't fully get about the early implementation choices (thinking sized hardpoints, and a slightly ******** RoF would have obviated the need for doubled armor and lessened heat burdens, for instance) but in general, yes, it is a superior platform.. Whether or not we ever get the supplementary things, backstory, Lore, community involvement to make it a better GAME; remains to be seen. But those games had the benefit of being PvE for that part, and the online was an afterthought. And it showed.

I thought I was going nuts, or that I wasn't playing the same game as the folks on the forum. Outside of flamers (just garbage) and SRMs (hit detection) weapon balance is currently fantastic. The game is very close to me being able to bring whatever I want and, with practice, do well in it.
I'm just not seeing this horribly unbalanced game that everyone on these forums is squealing about.
