I could be looking at this incorrectly, but is it just me or should those who bought pheonix packages be given the new chassis thats appropriate for their package?

these 3 mechs seem to have lots of potential, for 1 thing a locust with 6 med lasers would be a top tier light mech. small, fast and turns on a dime, Scout/Hunter.

except it's a locust.......so it gets eaten alive by every other mech out there

Umm LCT-1M = ARMOR: 32 Standard???

typo I hope Shadow hawk has an odd 144 vs 304 for armor but thats much more doable.


EDIT: guess its not a typo checked on smurfy with that much weight in weapons armor is not needed stay at range!!! WOW

I thought I paid for the phoenix mech + two variants. But it would be nice for sure!

I suppose they could. However, considering the page only indicated we would get three variant of each chassis I don't see why they have to.

Definitely. This game is poorly balanced for that. Now if average damages of single weapons were in the 2 through 20 damage range for 10 seconds it'd work great.
But weapons are in the 7 through 60 damage range for 10 seconds.

Well, pretty much every mech should come with such a warning. Stock loadouts in MWO are almost always terrible- primarily due to SHS,but often due to just being woefully under armoured and under gunned.

Pay no attention to listed armour. Allmechs have the same max armour per overall tonnage. And, generally speaking, you want the max all the time.

But yeah, so all locusts have the same max armor; all shadow hawks have the same max armor and for that matter have the same max armor as every other 55 ton mech.
