The LCT-1E and LCT-1M look solid, but I'm horrible in light mechs. I may have to get the 1M to try something with 2 lasers in the CT
And both of the BLRs look pretty decent too. I'm still leveling my Phoenix variants so it may be a while before I get to those.

Are you trying to tell us there will never be another phoenix variant? what about the TRD-9s? or the griffon and wolverine?
Is this just a "going out of business" marketing scam?
Did you actually mean Finally?

I don't own a battle master but I am sooo... Tempted to buy the 3M just to run this troll build just to 1 Shot somebody and later explode myself...

Can you even survive an alpha with this, or would you instantly burn up?

Used to be an exploitable bug that allowed 7 ER PPCs to survive 3 to 5 repeats of alpha strikes.
Tried it last night; seems it finally got fixed. Got 3 shots with regular PPCs.

PGI is known for typos. Ever seen some of the things that certain Devs wrote? It is truly mortifying to read.
I get this sort of experience when I begin reading certain posts.

Protip: The 2K is more geared towards heavies than scouts.

Think they mean "Final for now." Also, double-check Sarna. Remember we're not getting anything made post-3050-3051 at this point. Also... i think they actually just added the TDR-9S. If they release more Griffins and Wolverines, it'll probably be "Final Saber Chassis" willing to bet they're probably just focusing on the Clan Mechs right now, tweaking Omni stuff and such. on that note, happy they're following the rules at least a little and having the different Omni variants have Hardwired unremovable CT weapons like they do in tabletop. I love drinking the tears of Clan fanboys who never bothered to learn about their precious OmniMech's downsides too.
P.S. It'd be awesome if we get to see some of the IS Omnis later, always liked the Avatar, Rakshasa and Sunder. also, PGI, release the Mad Dog so the IS can use its tech to fix my Bushwacker already!

I agree though I am also wondering if they are keeping anything in reserve for future Hero Mechs. I do not want to see a Grffin Hero with ECM.

Probably will pickup a 2D as well just cause I like the ShadowHawks so much, although it seems a bit redundant.

I own all 5 Awesomes and every Hunchback.
Doesn't seem redundant to me.

What happens is I'll have, say, two builds I really like (most often, this is one very effective build and one very fun build) that I use frequently. Rebuilding my mech all the time is a pain in the ass, particularly when I'm in a group (don't want to make people wait).
Having two similar variants allows me to have both builds "live" at once, without feeling like I'm throwing money away on identical mechs.
With that said, I'm still kind of sad that none of the new Phoenix mechs really stood out with interesting load out options. I REALLY wanted to see an ECM tbolt.

If PGI does a "5 variants + hero" pattern, we just might see another Thunderbolt sometime down the line.
