I think it comes out to 23 DHS, 16 in the engine.

Rather than alleviate heat by using ballistics, I went for max heat sink laser boating. :/

You seem to be doing well with it, but I think personally I'd just plop all of that in a STK-3F with a STD 300 to snipe over hills.


But if it's working for you, go for it. ^_^

Interesting. I admittedly have been bored with my Boars Head so I am running 6x LL on it right now but with a STD350. It does really well as long as you are cautious about where and when you push. Have to manage heat a bit but it is reasonable as long as you are not trying to Alpha them all.

I thought about putting the XL back in for fun but I have a hard time bringing myself to XL an Atlas.

When I get tired of this I probably will go back to an ac20/ srm6. mls or ll combination setup.

I ended up settling on a standard 300 engine with 6ML, AC/20 and an ALRM20 with 4t ammo for each weapon. Its slow as hell but it kicks serious ass when it gets close in and I can drop LRM's while I'm closing in on my targets. Makes up for only going 53 KPH.

I run 4 ERL 2 med pulse xl 400. It is a decent load out works better in pairs.

If you cannot handle the chainfire for Ghost-Heat-Avoidence, forget about it, but if you manage to handle this, it is a fairly powerful build even more with one or two Cool-Shot- Consumables. On cold maps you can Alpha-Strike. Sure you'll be generating a massive amount of ghost-heat but if you pump in a cool-shot and strike a second time you will be likely melting anything to death if you aim properly. I run that build with the Large Laser Range Extension Module which increases the range effectively to 980 meters.

It's a good balance between range, speed and punch. LBXs are fantastic at stripping armour - that's what they're for. ACs are pinpoint killers, but general armour stripping is the LBXs job.... and the LLs to finish the job.

Weapon groups are:
Group 1- Left LLs
Group 2 - Right LLs
Group 3 - LBX.

Magos, I did the same 6 LL build but with a STD350 (little hotter than the 340 build you did). Lots of fun and manage the heat decent with firing in pairs and chain fire did alright.

Right now I went to something a little different. 2x LPL, 1x ac20, 1x srm6, ams, std350, dhs, endo, etc. Little ammo limited but I use the pulse until I get into srm range then ac20 and srm6 paired wrecking ball. Heat is not to bad.

ist good balanced, and you can contribute to the battle at any range.

I generally don't use my ERLL on targets that are sub 300m, and stick to my medium lasers and such as they close in. It's a fun build I've enjoyed quite a bit, especially for brawling. I might switch the AC10 out for a LBX10 at some point, since mediums tend to not hang around assaults to assist with lights, but instead jump snipe and do other stupid things.

Back to tinkering with my BH. Was running without SRM and just AC20 with lasers for a while but decided to put them back on. 2x LL, 2x ML, ac20, ASRM6. Chain firing the lasers on hot maps it is very manageable. AC20/ ASRM6 paired together for up close face smash hit in a brawl. Smurfys below.

I wish they BH had a 2 missle hardpoint torso so I could run another ASRM6.

Debated putting an ALRM rack in it to do something while walking to the fight but I have not. LRMs are a bit sketchy right now and the weight seems better served for other things.

I need to get 2 more Atlas so I can work on mastering them.
