We did play a couple of game clan versus clan. and clan vs clan using honour dueling. It was kinda fun. Just not as fun, as 3025, at least for me.

This was before quirks went into the game. It might shock you to learn that IS vs Clan stock was decently balanced - IF you take 3 lances vs 2 stars. 12v10 seemed to work decently well in our trial games.

The real problem with the matches came from the Clan's unbridled range and the map design. IS did well on close-quarter matches where their weapons did full damage. On open maps, not so much. That match I linked above is the only game out of 4 that night that IS won.

Yeah probably, i do remember that It was very small games, like 3vs3 or 4vs4 max.

Back in 2014, not long after I started playing, SMM was the only thing that kept me playing MWO after I rage quit (3 times). Don't play very much anymore now, but would happily come back for stock matches again.

Times on Monday were rough for me too. Perfect scenario would be to have enough interest in stock that you could log on anytime and play stock, but that's probably a pipe dream.

Nah, the right balance was star vs 2 lances, 5v8.
Matches was actually super fun and decently balanced, when people realized how to use their meks.

Or at least private stock, preferably with only one person needing to have premium for the options (if not none of them instead).

What really gets us sometimes is the fact that we need two people in lobby to have premium to play under max (24) players... (and the time... as I can't join on Mondays anymore.)

We got promised dequirk and Stock button Tesuni.
Perfectly would be if we get TT ammox2 and BT weapon basic stats as well.

Only Privet Stock button is not enough. Stock Play with this heavy quirks do not have much sense.

And we need more Euro friendly time anyway.

Very exciting. Nice that PGI specifically included that Champions revert to the chasis stock rather than tbe champion (C) loadout. Good planning.

Hopefully with a feature like that we can get more stock night events going. I always work Monday evening. It'll be a lot easier for people to just hop on and play and not worry about recording a mech specifically for it.

So button is arriving!!! Unfortunately thanks to some here, we are getting quiet useless efficiency button instead of TT 2x ammo and BT basic weapons stats.
Thanks god, we are getting quirk off as well.

Stock mode + no quirks is huge.

Requesting different stats for this mode would make them not want to do it, as it wouldn't be worth the effort for them.

it just will to do

You might not call it 'effort' but:
Stock loadout is all already listed in the files for purchases (and referenced in Skills).
Quirks is a simple on/off as it's been implemented with an 'addon' system.

A different set of stats for every mech would require:
All those XML's duplicated, then modified to match stock values.
That's currently, 393 stat blocks for mechs that need adjusting and 78 weapon stats.
If we're optimistic, with copying, converting, checking, databasing and say 5 minutes per variant on average, that's around 40 hours of work to to (1 week of work, at an estimated $1,000 a week in wages, based on actual salary reports from PGI).

You then need a system to implement those stats instead of standard in Stock mode.Thats at least 1+ programmer, and a few days to a week or so of coding.

So you're looking at tying up 2+ people, at a likely cost of $2,000+ to implement those alternate XML's.

There's a lot more to this than you'd think.
And even the things that are relatively simple, are time consuming.

Then you can even set up auto program that would do even that for you.

No I did not.

There are 393 Mech Variants

If going full TT, each would need its Armour adjusting, and/or some adjustment for certain things.

Even if you ignore that and just weapons, then there's the 78, which would need adjusting, and possibly even some sort of balancing.

Then the XML switching system, which would still take some time regardless.

Either way, it's going to take a LOT more than you seem to think, and quite probably come with its own bugs that would need fixing.

I think Stock + No quirks is fantastic and about the best we could hope for all things considered.
