Is there any chance of getting a European Stock Mech Monday going? 09:30 EST is pretty much impossible in Europe, unless you're unemployed or ready to call in sick the next day.

Was really looking forward to trying out SMM, but right now, I guess Stock Mech Saturday is my best bet - though I don't think I'll be able to stay up until six in the morning, even in weekends.

Alistair, did you see my recent posts in the Stock Saturday thread? I've been trying to shift our Saturday meeting time to better meet our international community. Please let me know what time range(s) can work for you.

I think you'll love stock 'mech matches -- I saw in a recent post of yours that your favorite three 'mechs are the same as my favorite IS 'mechs of their respective weight classes -- Raven, Catapult, and Awesome. Happily, all three of these 'mechs do well in Tech Level 1 stock matches -- in particular, the Raven 4X is arguably the most powerful T1 light 'mech, and the Catapult K2 is one of the very best T1 heavies. Although the Awesome 8Q hasn't been quite as good for its tonnage as those other two 'mechs, the recent Awesome quirk-buff should change that!

It's delightful to see these 'mechs which fare so relatively poorly in public matches (and even worse in high-competition matches) finally have a chance to be solid contenders, and they're far from the only ones. Almost every 'mech (there are a few that suck even in T1 stock, but not many) seems to be on a more level playing field in T1 stock than they are in public matches. Even the little Locust can give everyone headaches here [looking at Speedislife]. : )

To everyone who enjoys Stock 'Mech Mondays: please consider trying to attend the Saturday event as well -- your input on the best time to schedule it is welcome. Two T1 stock days is better than one, right?

Man, did I run the spider a lot last night. In fact, I ran nothing but lights. I have a Jenner and a Locust video I'll have to get up later on, but for now, here are my Spider videos:

We had a good turnout last night. Always a joy to see the dropships full. Keep spreading the word, people! EDIT: Adding last video.

Took me some time. I'm still extracting and rebuilding mechs from PGI's pak files to render these intro scenes. But here's two more videos from this past Monday for your viewing pleasure!

Do we, as the Stock Mech community, want to participate in the 3 Lance vs 2 Star private matches that PGI wants to set up either this weekend or the next? Do we want to try and use our Saturday night slot to do some good for game balance? Let me know your thoughts and if you'd be interested in coming.

I mean, eh it could be tried, but I doubt PGI counts Stock Clan vs Stock IS since ... to put in bluntly Paul or Russ or those guys don't give two hoots about awesome stock mode.

Mainly they just want to test 12v10 "customization solaris" type mode.

Don't forget, people, that there is (contrary to popular impression) an additional Stock 'Mech Monday event scheduled for the European time zone and surrounding ones. It's supposed to get started in less than an hour. I'm making it my mission to not only attend this event whenever possible, but also drag in everyone I can in real-time. I'll be sending messages to everyone on my list who plays stock, so get ready to grab your scrub 'mechs and get on Teamspeak! That goes for anyone in the US timezone, too, if you aren't working / in school at 1 PM EST.

I bought a bunch of 'mechs during the recent sale, including a KTO-18 and an AWS-8Q. Going to try them out tonight!

Had a lot of fun at the EU edition of Stock Mech Monday today. Was interesting running my stock Griffin 1N... and terrifying every time a raven latched onto my legs and started pecking away under my minimum range. Dammit, Carl, you're gonna give me a phobia against birds.
