Here is the names I'm thinking:
Battletech Stock Mech Corps (BSMC)
Stock Lancers (SL)
Tiger's Claws (TCLW) (In honor of Tiger Lily basically starting this whole thing)
Any other concepts?

- FSM: Factory Spec Mechs
- SMRL: Stock Mech Racing League
- BTCB: Battletech Canon Builds
- TRO: Technical Readouts
- TROO: Technical Readouts Online
- 3050: The year
- Mech: What you see is what you get
- BTRE: Battletech Re-Enactors
- CMO: Canon Mechs Only
- CGU: Come Get Us
ETA:
Of these I think I like "Battletech Re-Enactors (BTRE)" the most.

- TRO: Technical Readouts
I like this. TT fans would instantly know what TRO would mean... Very steeped in what we want to represent. So, if this is the tag we would use, what would be the name of the unit itself? I don't think "Technical Readouts" is exactly a compelling Unit name...

Not sure what the unit name would be, it was just a thought.
The Tag doesn't have to match the name exactly, we could call the unit itself "The league of ordinary battlemechs" or some such nonsense and still use "TRO" as our tag.

I think Stock Battlemech Corps (SBMC) rolls off the tongue a bit easier, course it could just be the marine in me.
I'm liking a "Stock Battlemech Corps (TRO)" at the moment... but I'd kinda like the tags to match the unit name as well. So (SBMC) might be more preferred...
I'll wait till either someone else makes the unit for us, or a few more opinions come in...

For what it's worth I second the "Stock Battlemech Corps (TRO)" motion
ETA:
We may also want to consider MechForce Classic or some variation there of, as a unit name, seeing as it is the title of our website.

Sorry. Venting... Last match I was gimped by a teammate who seemed to like my backside paint job too much... as an enemy Atlas made his own art on the front of my mech... Oh well. Nature of PUGing. Nature of a new account I guess too.
Edit: Did you know a single Gauss could also kill a Stock Locust? To the CT? Neither did I till now... I should have hidden better.

I guess my opinion isn't worth much, since I've never participated in Stock mechm ondays, but I agree with this logic. It's better to have a tag that people recognise and understand, than a bunch of letters people won't notice unless they know it from the forums.
[TRO] and [3050] are great suggestions, in this regard.

You know what would solve your predicament? Playing Stock Mech Mondays (or any of the other stock mech events if they are more convenient)

When do the European guys play? If I may be so bold, perhaps the OP in this thread should have all the most recent updates? Or do you just handle everything on a day-to-day basis?

Don't know. Whenever I posted that up (and edited it for the Locust FYI...).
You know, it has been so long since someone did that to me... I almost forgot the frustration it causes! Lt Kataren seems to have a ways to go before his Elo is set at a level where that slows down... I don't know if that's a good thing, or if it's a bad thing that my other account is at that Elo level (locked till Cadet bonus is finished last I recalled).
I do know when I'm done with Cadet Bonus, I'm going to create a "New User Experience Feedback" thread with my other account. Just don't know were to place such a thread? General topics? Patch feedback (which will get closed on Friday)?

I come with my two currently assigned mechs, Little Tornado (Locust 1M) and Weatherman (4J). (Let's just say, my forecast for the enemy is sunny, with a chance of rain. LRM RAIN!)
So, now that it's all official, and I can now post anywhere on the forums with this account...

(Granted, you don't need to master the classes for the current stock event; you only need to elite them. However, you never know when that master slot might be necessary -- the suggested Sunday one did allow modules, which would mean needing to master for maximum effect.)
