Hey people,

I've posted an update on the Stock Mech Monday rules in light of the new Clan Mechs! This gist of it: the Teamspeak will now have two room/dropships designated "Tech 1" and the rest "All Tech". You can probably see how this works in light of Clans - "All Tech" simply means Clans on one side, IS on the other (or IS vs IS if you want) but all stock are allowed (DHS: yes; Clans: yes; etc.)

ALSO in case you were not aware: Atlas, Catapult, Hunchback, and Jenners are 50% off C-BILL prices through 1pm EST next Wednesday (June 25th) PICK UP A STOCK MECH AND SHOW UP! I suggest the Catapult K2 and every Hunchback

Seems like a very wise decision you made here.

And Hunchbacks... YES! They are very nice, even in stock. They are very nice, even as stock in live PUG matches!
(I'm sharpening my 4J skills. Next time we met, I intend to be able to take on Bishop's Atlas! (And still get my face stomped by it, but we don't need to go there...))

I would recommend the POC for the EU time to possibly get in touch with the German community. They are probably the largest EU group that was doing Stock stuff in MWO before it was even considered "cool." The German community has wanted stock mode probably even more than some of the minority in the english crowd ever since this game went live, since it was super popular back in the day in MW3/MW4.

For the EU folks, I recommend getting in touch with paxmortis to see if they can gather some folks for the stock EU time on Monday.

Ok was told about 'Stock Mech Monday' .. my only problem is I live in the UK and timezones suck, is there a way I can join in this wonderful play ? .. without it compromising my workdays ?

Also a further question, are paintschemes 'IS' House styled specific ? ... or can you be colourful like a Merc Mech pilot ?

There is a Europe timed event last I knew. They could actually use more players for that time zone. Log in Monday, and look in the TS server and see if anything is happening when you are on. Other people are on, go to their channel and type/talk about joining. They are fairly open.

As far as restrictions, there are no paint color restrictions. The restrictions mostly depend upon which level of tech you wish to play. Last monday, with the advent of the clans, we had two groups running. One was "tech level 1", which was nothing but base gear (of course, as you purchase them, no customizing). Then there was more or less "Open tech", which included any and all stock mechs, and was Clan vs IS (which is why they had to lift the restrictions, as all clans have XL engines, DHS, Endo/FF(?), etc).

When you log onto the teamspeak server, the rules should be in one of the side windows. (Or you can just ask here, and many of us will answer your questions as best we can.)

What mechs you thinking of using? If I may be so bold as to ask.

PS: Friending Tigerlily in the game is probably a good start, as he tends to lead the event. Not sure if he's there for the EU event...

I'm up for a challenge but I have alot of mechs atm and would need to adjust or get some more as 'base' stock mechs !

Think my Blackjacks are untouched [ except for paint ] ... but would be willing to try out any class I have a spare Mechbay free for this idea anyway !

The Video you posted is from the first 3025 stockmech tourney we played and that i organise with the help of the german community and my unit.

We played in the past three of this tourney the last two of them with MBV (Mechwarrior battle value) / webside instead of tonnage.

I was very happy to see that more and more international player enjoy the stockmech mode.

So what will happen from my side in the future about this theme?

Right now i am think about to make a fourth 3025 stockmech tourney or better two. One lance and one company based.

In the first phase a EU time based one (UTC time). I know for our NA and asian located mates, the times terrible but i say in the first phase.

Finally i hope, we could manage to make a tourney around the globe with enought teams for every time zone.
