In previous Mechwarrior titles. my go to was always the Timberwolf (thanks tot he Genesis) though in MW2 I DID roll ALOT of Novas, Mad Dogs and Hellbringers.

MWO is actually the most diverse my mech bays have ever been, though I am still predominately a heavy mech pilot. (I AM learning the Big Fatlas though! now that I have my battlemasters where I want them)

First one I piloted? The Commando in MW2: Mercs, but they give you that. First one I bought, the Crab.

It should have been the Chameleon http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Chameleon in Crescent Hawks Inception. It was a 50 tonner illegal design training mech. But you could steal it on the last training mission (it was a bug) - made short work of the enemy Locusts and Wasps you faced later....

Mad Dog from the first mission in MW:2. I was so young I had trouble starting the game in Dos. Those were the days. Doom, Terminal Velocity, WWII fight sims, and Bubble Ghost.
