First mech played was in MPBT: Solaris (on AOL) and was the Catapult C1 with the standard 2 LRM15/4ML load out.

Commando and Fire Moth from MW2 series. It is due to those old memories of days spent in MW2 I'm still clinging to MWO, though rational ego advices me to quit and bury my hopes for MWO to become better game.

MW2:Mercs - Instant action.

I was scrolling through the mechs. I didn't know anything about them, so I just picked one that sounded cool.

Urbanmech.

Fortunately for me, I'm persistent enough not to be deterred by instadeath.

Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries started me out with a Commando, but I always sold it and bought a Panther. I'd then sell the Panther as soon as the Assassin became available. That one I'd tend to run for a while.

Heh heh... the first 'Mech I played was indeed from the first MechWarrior game, except I sold the Jenner for a Locust because it looked cool. I had nooooo idea what I was doing. :D

To this day, the Locust is still my favorite 'Mech, just above the Wolfhound.

I'm with this guy. Locust in MW1, and had been playing BattleTech as well.

Latecomer to the series. COM-2D in MWO.

The Stinger was my TT fave, though I have no recollection as to why.

I had a Bushwhacker Toy when I was a kid, does that count. I am going to own Every BW if they ever release them. (I know, was not released until after the IS reverse engineered Clan tech, 3 years after the Clan invasion.) If not it was a K2 in MWO at the advice of a friend and closed beta vet. Told me the Cats are the most versatile mechs in the game.

I don't remember. The first Mechwarrior game I played was Mechwarrior 2 on Playstation One that my dad had gotten along with Diablo 1 in a deal. I love the fact that my catholic dad had absolutely no problem choosing diablo and of course mechwarrior. But honestly it was so long ago I don't remember what Mech was my first. Though I'm pretty sure I had a Madcat. ;o

A Nexus in the SNES Mechwarrior that mysteriously used no canon designs.

Still was a great game in-universe otherwise though, and their Ragnarok KINDA was like a Stalker...

Bushwacker in MW3. I still really want that mech in this game. It would be the bee's knees. Need a Mad Dog first though.

Jenner from Mechwarrior I. If you want to go way back to Battletech: Crescent Hawk Inception, the stalwart Locust. (But I always ran off with the Chameleon, and in some cases stole the Arena mech. Can't remember if it was an urbie or not...)

My fave was always the Phoenix Hawk, and as soon as I saw it in game, I had to have it. The best game I ever had was in the PHawk, getting a Jump Jet headshot in Mechwarrior, saving my poor man's lance of Locusts and downing a Heavy, AND getting to keep the salvage. I was like WHAT!!$#%$ I didn't even know it was possible in the game, but it was so cool.

Vulture/Mad Dog in Mechwarrior 2. Loved lrm20s sounds. Sadly that they are so shitty in handling and sound in MWO.
