video is kind of boring till about the 8 minute mark.

the first part is just me getting into the upper sniper hide at the pug zapper and raining down lrms. yep the team jumped to the middle, stopped in the choke points and died. once the team died I was found.

break contact, return to base. then it was cat and mouse 6 on 1. got 4 of them mostly because they did not stick together and came at me individually.

Love it, you OP 1 man premade you. LOL

Now you have delivered the proof desperate whiners have been searching for that LRMs are OP.

No, but in all seriousness, great game, be proud. :D

funny thing is i was not really drawn to cplts or lrms but then i bought a jester and to master it you need 2 others... once i stopped being a lump on a stump waiting for locks and got a bit aggressive with the cplt, i found it to be a much deadlier mech then it would seem on paper. i guess you have to find the niche.

BTW i still love my Heavy Metal and YLW but they just don't seem alive like this silly cplt. now the jester is a mech i have to be in the right frame of crazy to make work well. lights ie spiders, well lets just say i may be the poster boy for suicidal spider. :P

LRM users can often benefit most from a base-humping strategy because the turrets act as spotters. I had a similar experience on Arctic...

In my case, I lost simply because I ran out of LRMs- and the other two opponents did the sensible thing during my murder spree and ran away- as time ran out, they were at 1500m and vanishing over a hill. :)

guys i think you just invented lrm fishing, ideally casting from up high with the help of spotter turrets you can bag many mechs

GJ!

Much like turrets have better aim, they often make better spotters. After all, they don't run away and lose lock. ;)

Turrets can be a force multiplier when you are down a few mechs at the end. The fun part is getting team mates to remember that. The problem can be if the other team puts a group effect into actively shooting the grid. If the lights just skirt the activation zone while the heavy range hitters stay out about 600 m, the grid goes down fast. But thankfully the comion tactic seemscto be just rush in and die >;-)

the problem is the stale mate situation.

one metch started with 3-5 noobs being wipped out from 3 mins in. the rest of use poured back to base and with turrets being a usefull distrataction we turned the whole tables... but the remaining enemy realised this and coppied the tactic until nobody wanted to fight. eventually we got bored and hunted them at their base pretty much throwing the comback away.

the maps are too small and the objectives too narrow to make turrets really really fair for tactical play but better than mock skirmish x2 like yesteryear.
