They aren't farming/exploiting/griefing in OUR matches.

So...

we got a patch that gave us:
  • 3/3/3/3
  • group limit to one per side in public queue
  • better matchmaking
  • disable function for cockpit glass and film grain :P
  • HSR fix
(irony on) I consider this a success. :P PGI at it's best. (irony off)

At least the best of this patch works (hopefully... haven't tested yet). I still think 3/3/3/3 is a dead horse in regards to community warfare (which we still have no idea of... :ph34r:) and that drop weight matching would have been way better. The group players and solo players that prefer playing alongside larger groups (which I am) are still on the receiving end. Private matches should at least be compensated for expenses (consumables). Dunno if the constant limiting in player decisions is a good way to go.

Is there a reason i am now forced to play conquest mode?

I seem to lose more and more choices as a patch like this prevents me from playing what I truly enjoy, Assault and Skirmish.

If 84% of people were queueing solo we currently wouldn't be having the 'fail to find match' issue in epic proportions in public queue to begin with.

Just grabbing a game title out there, does BF4 make you pay for consumables (if it has them, I don't know as I don't play console) when you are in a private match? I would be greatly surprised if it did.

Now what I THINK I deserve is a fair shake, not special treatment. I would be happy if PGI made it so that all consumables cost MC and that the C-Bill was nerfed into history. OR make it so that if you wanted to do more than 20 drops a week you needed to pay up with some MC as well. Crazy? not really, as it is now the teams are being made to carry the cost for everyone playing MWO. not cool, not fair, and unacceptable in my books. PGI is treating the player who wants to group with 4 or more friends like a second class citizen, like a wife they have lost interest in. No one sticks around for that kind of treatment, someone always comes along who treats them better and shows them a little respect. PGI just can't see that the china has already been spirited out of the hutch or that the closet has a lot more room in it because there are less clothes in it. PGI's house is about to get a lot more empty, I just hope they can keep the mortgage payments up with one less income in the house.

I patched and played several matches yesterday and decided to post my thoughts.
The group size varied between 2, 3 and 4.
I spent most matches in a shadowhawk, but also ran jager, spider and firestarter.
No more then 2 of our group were in the same weight class on a drop.
We played between 7pm and 9 pm EST.

- Wait times in match maker were 30 seconds to 1 minutes, with none over 2 minutes. Adding a 4th put us at the longer end.
- Although 3-3-3-3 was not working the mech composition on the teams seemed more balanced; a few games did come up with 4-5 of a weight class instead of 3. Some matches still ended in stomp/landslide, but player skill and teamwork play a role in that.
- The Shadowhawk I used has 2 SRM2 Launchers, I did not notice any recurring hit registration problems.
- I had no disconnects; but still saw several other players suffering. It will be good if planned features allow reconnects to games in progress.
- I did notice the LAG-spike at the final kill in matches has become more pronounced.
- I do hope the bug preventing game mode selection can be fixed soon. I play all game types but some of my lancemates have strong preferences.

Overall, this patch seems to have less change to gameplay then the last 2 patches dealing with LRMs. I am looking forward to Community Warfare, so I hope the new matchmaker was sucessful in bringing us a step closer. Thanks to the programers for the hard work!

Normally I tend to not find anything good in the latest series of patches.
However aside from the premium time thing I love the lobby room now.
Had a mega-blast last night just playing with my buddies.
Even had a few who swore they'd never play mwo again, reloading the game.
So kudo's PGI ya nailed it this time.
And best of all I only have to pug if feel the need for some c-bills or some xp for a new mech.
Which most of the time I don't cause I'm freakin rich!
So thanks PGI for the candy crushing git pug free lobby.
I really hate pugs.

no that will not prevent stomps, weight classes were pretty even and I was running a pretty potent Mara...err Orion.
In fact, being the guy who avoids using meta, and uses 'mechs like Dragons, BlackJacks, and Awesomes, effectively, it will likely hurt me in that we'll see an increase in the higher end of each weight class, also I don't like the cookie cutter every match the same 3/3/3/3 boringness, but that is just me, and I still say LRMs need to be nerfed more, lower their arc so cover is effective

So the hot fix is going to happen when?

I would hope that its before you fire the development staff. Not after.

I would like to play assault at some point. All I get is power game skirmishes and Conquest games were everyone kills the other team well before 750 resources are collected.


This has been a huge wonder bread blunder. I would hope the computer video game magazines give you a proper kick in the tushie. So you understand how important a community is to your game.

Without a community there is no MechWarrior Online. Yet you constantly find was to kick your own free to play community to the curb. With sloppy patch work and broken promises.

All you can say is "Were sorry!"

PGI has become the free to play computer scam arties of the century. Give us your money and will give you crap in return.

A faulty bugged game.

SOOOO much better visuals. I played a good number of matches in the evening yesterday and it makes a nice difference.

I was pretty happy about the patch for this reason solely. Although 3/3/3/3 did not quite work as planned obviously, glad you all are so quickly responding in this thread and working on it.
