I would suggest that they knew it was broken but still released it anyway. This patch's cash grab was dependent on people buying premium time in order to play private matches. No launch module means no money this fortnight. And they must have something in every patch that makes them money. That seems to be the order from on high.

In fact what with the public queue being BROKEN now the only way to get a decent game is to stump up the cash for private matches!

You dont have to pay money though. If you are so desperate for a game in mwo then I say you need to get a life buddy. They cant make you pay money to play the game, if you have a bit of patience you can play it for free as you always have. They tried something new and of course derp it's gonna break these guys are just a small team. If they did it on purpose ya **** move and they deserve a decent lashing but enough with the dumbass gif's already they are stupid.

No. 1 rule of online gaming (actually also the oldest rule of online gaming ever created):

Don't play on patch day... unless you're told it's save :)

General Rules of Online Gaming:
-Never take off work to play on Launch week for an MMO
-Never take off work to play on patch day for any game
-Never tell the game director, in their own forums, that they, citing their own posts, LIE all the time (this equals Permaban!, Thx STO!)

Yes and Yes.

Not really.

The Launch Module is the 1st step toward Community Warfare. It was planned long before 3/3/3/3 was ever conceived. 3x4 was implemented to try and balance matches.

Well, the launch module originally was going to be a totally different thing though.. it was related to a type of "dropship mode" that allowed you to load up a few mechs and drop them into a lobby.

Not sure how the current "launch module" really supports community warfare. The private matches support league play, but that's kind of something which the community has created because we never got community warfare.

"Something" was wrong, so yes, they pulled the 3/3/3/3 temporarily. It was likely the reason the public test time got extended from 6pm to 10pm.

This is speculation, the reason we disabled 3/3/3/3 on Public Test temporarily was actually to confirm that we could actually disable 3/3/3/3 if we needed to for any reason.

The MM never hung during the public test, the issue only presented itself for larger queue sizes.

Any word on hit detection/registration fixes? I'm far more concerned about those than anything else for the moment.

So all the complaint threads over in the public test are just a figment of our imagination? Or how about the fact the people were waiting over 1 hour per match just to get into the system. Huh, coincidence again perchance? Sorry Mathew, not buying that excuse one bit.

The complaint threads are real, but the underlying issue was not what all the threads claimed it to be. From what I remember, they disabled the "failed to find a match" time-out because of low test server populations.

in any event, calling someone who is trying to get information out to us and who has access to more concrete sever data than we do a liar doesn't help anything. His information (true or not) is still a better starting point for speculation than the anecdotal rantings and imaginings of a bunch of forum users.

Stuff happens. I'd be the first to say that we, your players, are bad people and really don't deserve nice things. I totally see it as cosmic karmic justice going 'Huh? 3/3/3/3 would be awesome in MW:O.... Better than those ******** deserve. Imma jinx that for them. CRY MOAR, learn be nicer to people when speaking on a public form'.

That aside though....

missing 3/3/3/3. Wouldn't object to some off-date patch to get it sooner. The constant updates and information on it has been great - seriously, makes a big difference.

Still though.... 3/3/3/3, no way for it to come soon enough. A lot of us are bouncing up and down in the back seat, going 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?'

So, uh... by the way. While we're on the topic.

Are we there yet?
