Cry engine 3 is an easy run. my specs are i5 clocked at 4.2ghz, 8800gts clocked at 611mghz, 8 gigs of DDR3 ram, Solid State hard drive & really you dont need the latest components cause computing power hasn't really changed much in the last 5 years. Then again im drooling over the dual HD7000 series. The main factor is GPU processing & the 7970 will give any rig the ability to play the latest games.

I have given thought to a new upgrade & i would go AMD 3 with 8 cores & 32 gigs of RAM. would only cost around 600 bucks. ahhhhhhh AMD is the Black & Gold of generic products.

Also to answer the question i would spend 1k on the GPU to play this game.

Did anyone ever wondered where Cryteks' symbol came from ?
Lets say in my nation we believe eyes of a jealous person can harm your lovely belonging by looking at it.
So our artists created a blue colored glass eye to trap their jealous looks to protect our achievements.
CryEngine was the biggest development we had ever achieved in gaming industry so owners of company decided to protect
it from jealous eyes of other companies.IGN thanks for chosing crytek you wont regret it.

He's probably from Turkey. The blue eye is a symbol of good luck that is believed to protect against the "evil eye". They were all over the place when I visited, especially tourist shops. As far as the Crytek logo, could be a coincidence but it might be deliberate...

Don't forget there are numerous CryTeks all over the globe. ;)

Cry Engine 2 and both games using it were made in Budapest.

where did you pull this piece of info from? I thought most of the engine is designed in Frankfurt?
Would love to read about it, if there is info on that topic ;)

Not sure if it's been said, but.........

Optimization.

If you're going to use the CRYengine then optimize it! Don't botch it like Crysis 1.

I just downloaded Crysis 2 and I'm having annoying problems where I'm being forced into 24hz because I'm using an hdmi cable (only cable I can use). Ive found a work around but I really hope MWO doesn't end up having this problem as well. Crytek knows about the problem but it doesn't sound like they are going to do anything about it.

This may prove to be a huge mistake for MWO Cysis engines have had major issues with a number of system configs thue eliminating many players from the intial launch. This sounds like a MWN2 scenerio where you reach for the stars and find no one is behind you and it is getting dark and cold. So many other engines to choose from this one has a lousy track record. I would have avoided it from a pure marketing stand point. Since you guys just had to relese the trailer with one of the unknowns flaring that discusion I suppose I should not be surprised by this. Hope you guys are watching the news about 38 studios 200 million down the drain and 308 out of work including the top players; You know they had a good record going in but they never could achieve their press clippings level and are now on the street. Just saying with out a solid business plan and a solid engine your likely going to be just another almost. Hope you have a really deep well

Good luck we will wait and see but I am not betting the farm on you guys yet.

Hey would an AMD Anthlon II x2 with 3g Ram with an Nx8800GT with 512MB DDR3 Run MWO at a decent frame rate to play?

They choose the right game engine and the Hero Engine doesn't look all that good just look at Star Wars: The Old Republic videos and judge for yourself.

The Crytek 3 engine is also available for linux. Can we expect, to get (sooner or later) a native linux client?
