I don't know why, but I always managed to pull of some exceptional kill streaks in that thing during MW4 days. It was just such a versatile mech; you could drop the speed right down and pack a hell of a lot of weapons on there, or strip back the weapons and become a major pain in the *** scout.
It'll always hold a special something for me I think.
Yup I feel ya shadowcat will never be replaced in that little place for me >.> I personally think its a perfect balance of mech.

Most of the IS Mechs got either the weapons, the armor or the speed for a prolonged battle. Something is always missing. Or everything is averange in a way that non of their features are realy useful anymore.
The Viper is a medium Mech with a clear focus on speed. Topspead ~130 km/h and 8 Jumpjets for laaaaarge leaps. Aditionaly it has still enough weapons to be a thread in anyones rear. Additionaly it has seven tons of ferrofibrous armor. Normal armor hast 16 points per ton FF got 20% more means 7x 16x 1.2 = 134 points.
Enough to absorb lucky hits. Remember this baby is faster than a Jenner. And Jenners are hard to hit.

No mechlab... though this game is getting that way. I heard MWLL is looking at adding a mechlab in a future update though... could be cool.

But ... working alone, or with CBAs, the Nova Prime is the Ride for me. A full Alpha Strike can cut even an Atlas in half, and the battle armor infantry can capture what doesn't fall down. Add two Koshi's (Mist Lynx) and two points of Elementals, and this mech will never be a second line unit. It rides so hot, It's cool!

As a Clan Nova Cat warrior, I've developed a serious fondness for the Nova Prime, a mech that demands respect for heat management. It's great for flanking and pursuit, with the jump jets compensating for it's lack of speed.
... It's a close coin toss for my other favorite medium omnimech.
The Stormcrow is a wide-spread, second generation OmniMech fielded by many Clans. Alt. Config. I - A pair of LRM-15 launchers provide long range firepower while each arm carries an ER Large Laser and ER Medium Laser. To ferret out hidden enemy forces, the Stormcrow I configuration mounts an Active Probe in the head.
This is my preferred version of the Stormcrow, a great fire support mech equal to the heavier Mad Dog/Vulture that can keep up with the lighter and faster mechs. I would be willing to engage in a trial of position for either mech.
