I'd like to create a small team of skilled players who will obey commands given and will react quickly. Players who won't deviate from the plan. For instance, had I a good squad, and this were the space installation map, I could have the squad fall back to the entryway in a bad situation to defend. If say, the ENTIRE other team were somehow still alive, I would tell them to target a single leg of the first mech at the entryway. Doing this would slow the other mechs down and also leave a very vulnerable mech. From there we spread into a wall targeting the same mech for effectiveness. Gauss and heavy weapons would be targeted mostly. IF the entire team died on HQ I would take the squad, run past the defenses and try to capture the base before the enemy can react. Lrms, are a given. We all know how easily it easy to run up to them and blow of those missile launchers. As soon as that's gone we'd be able to focus on bigger targets.

Thats called a lance, and unless you are playing with friends and using some type of voice comms, its not likely to happen. Hell, its hard enough for coordinated lances not to go squirrel chasing, much less a bunch of lone wolf puggers.

You can run with The Brethren matey if you like, we would appreciate it if you did register to our webpage, which is rather simple, but no requirements, you come and go as you please, you play with who you like, and we have a good group of mech warriors of all skill levels. http://brethrenmwo.enjin.com is our site, and our TS is brethrenmwo.enjinvoice.com

We just ask that you be respectful of others, we shy away from excessive cursing, we do have ladies and youngsters in our ranks, so that is all we ask!

Likewise the Dark Born supports both Casual and Organised team play in a two tier structure lnown as "the Silk" that is specifically set up so as to accomodate variable styles of play and commitment. We are also about to launch our orientation process which gives initial training including such elements as combined teamwork as you mentioned. There will be more training initiatives to follow to allow for ongoing specilising in roles and other needs in the future.

We also have allied interests to accomodate with the idea of dropping with them on their training nights for organised play. This is currently being set-up with some formal invites but to be completed in the short term.

The Dark Born is a new unit but has allied interests, connections with the clans to help sustain interests whilst we grow. And we have a number of "guest" pilots who are invited to drop with us also.

The Dark Born is a player community playing as members of the Dark Caste from Clan society and also IS/Periphery outcasts. We will also have flexible interests come CW and also support both Clan and IS tech as supported as a choice by MWO.

We also have developed tools like a role checker system to unify builds without having to prescribe which mech to use and can help with understanding builds more readily for team play as a result. And in the near future a new Codex system to help support additional pilot data and stats. Expect useful indicators and stats. This is being set up on a remotely hosted MySQL platform with PHP scripts and linked to our Enjin forum.

So please check out your Dark Side @ http://mwodarkborn.enjin.com/home

I knew that. The reason I'm asking - Not a lot of freedom in clans. Not trying to have some kind of power struggle. I just want three players, and if there's any problems, we can always split. I can easily ask for another three players.

Got a solution for you, go to Comstar irregulars TS, just search for it, and start dropping with the 4 man random drops untill you find the three players that mesh with your style, the thing is you have to find three players you mesh with that are on the same time you are, it can be done, just takes some time to get there. Cheers mate.

See, normally I'd say "Play with 3 friends". But I read your posts and my first thought was that maybe you don't have any. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but your posts read like someone who just wants to come on and boss 3 other guys around with no backchat or independant thought. If thats really what you're looking for, maybe give MW4:Mercs a try. I promise your lance wont argue with you, or call you out for bad decisions, or have a bad night where they're distracted. You can even blame them when you lose without accepting any responsibility.

Seriously, I can't wrap my head around where you're coming from. You ask for 3 guys to join you and be beholden to everything you say, but you don't want to join a clan because... there's no freedom to do what you want? By all means, jump on Comstar TS and see what you can find. Hopefully, some humility. I keep looking at your sig and don't know whether to laugh or sigh.

Just a bit of advice sport... All plans can and often do go out the window as soon as the first few shots are fired, or the enemy team (even your own team) doesn't do what was predicted for said plan to work.

Even though most maps have only 3 spots where the fight usually ends up, the battlefield is always a fluid situation.
Keep that in mind, and your MWO experience may be more enjoyable.
