For the every-man, a Trial Champion has stepped forward: The Orion ON1-K(C) fields BAP to compliment it's twin SSRM's, making additional use of both endo-steel and ferro-fibrous upgrades to help carry it's AC/10 along with a pair of large lasers for pilots to add the final scorching touch to your enemies. Even though I haven't piloted an Orion, nice.

Not a bad build. I broke 600 damage on my first outing with it (but I have been piloting Orions since they were released.) Runs a little hot, but AC/10 + LLs is a pretty versatile set up.

Next time they change out the Trial Mechs, this should be in the lineup. Good opportunity to give the ON1 a try.

I will give this one a try, thank you.

Also, when will it be possible to see how much XP we've ammassed from mechs we do not currently have as bought? Is it too much to ask to fill up the meters at the Skills pages like there was with UI 1.5?

Faced a few of these in the field. Surprisingly sturdy and difficult to put down.

I won't buy it as I've already spent more on this game than any other game ever and I already have a standard one, but it looks like a good mech. The Orions are nothing to laugh at. I didn't think I was going to like them at all when they came out, but after running a few, I like them very much. I run 2 SRM6, 4 ML, and alternate between an LB10 and an AC10, depending on what I feel like. It's lethal, and can hang in there for a surprising amount of time.

Strip leg armour > apply MG to legs (prefer RL early match and LL in the late match due to the way ammo is drawn).

It has a Std engine and doesn't have CASE, so any ammo explosion usually kills it.

Very good timing from PGI since I was keen on trying an Orion anyway. Its pretty solid stock load out makes this trial mech quite enjoyable.

This is the current heavy trial.

Yep, I noticed that after I got home from work Tuesday. Haven't had a chance to try it out though.

Like some I had never given the Orion a second gl;ance til saddling up in this baby ! ... my only question really : " When can I buy one !"

Having felt 'stung' by both the Jester and Misery, I was a little worried about adapting to this, but since my Ilya rebuild .. when I tried this it suited my style more ... so please, please, please ... give a buy option already !

I prefer the Cataphract than to use any Orion even though I have 3 variants. think the Phract-3D is a natural born killa~

Or you can buy the standard one with or and turn it into this.

I love the ON1 and this is a decent build. My only problem with this Champ version is that it's a build that could literally go into any of the ON1 variant. In my mind, what makes the K special, is the 4x energy spots.

Im close to mastering my Orions :3

These things are so fun and lethal, but it helps to play smart. I ran into one last night that I wasplaying cat and mouse with. I was the last alive and ended up killing him and 3 of his buddies before they got me :P

I actually feel worse now .. knowing that it isn't anything special .. worked out if you have the Protector already .. this build is easy and fits like a glove ... now I am sad that PGI hasn't even worked on another styled variant.

This mech is better than the Protector for less than half the price!
