We had 3 premades on our side in a match.
The game ended in a draw.
Premades =/= Stomp

Someone reports a bug with the patch and what do you know, the first response is to say that the bug doesnt matter because it doesnt guarantee a stomp...
I guess that explains why theres still more curb stomping, although i did see more even matches on average.

Oh, they put up an announcement that they turned off 1-premade to a team. Wait times too long, which is puzzling if everything is working and 84% of players are launching solo....

Because "one premade per team" and "3/3/3/3 limit" are a flawed design. I played Warthunder while MWO servers were down and we had 5vs4 premades in a match. Still the match was very balanced, it wasn't clear who would win till the very end.
There are no class limits in Warthunder. Your premade can take the heaviest bombers in hope to win the match by destroying objectives, but the enemy fighters won't have much problem shooting you all down. You can all take only fighters and try to shoot down every enemy plane, but the best strategy is to bring a mixed squad. So there is no need for any artificial limits.
And they all seem to be assigned to one team. Maybe the matchmaker fills in one team with average players, and then proceeds to fill the other team with people with increasingly mismatched ELO?
In MWO, heavier mechs are naturally better suited for combat. Yes, I have seen quite a few deadly light mech pilots, but since everyone and their dog is boating PPC and large caliber Autocannons, lights loose their legs pretty fast. And when they stop, they're dead.
Stomps in MWO happen mostly because the matchmaker pits new, inexperienced players against veterans. Even though I have over 3400 drops under my belt, yesterday I fought with and against people in trial mechs shooting LRMs at point blank, people who did not torso twist, people in Locusts, people with the most insanely bad builds.
