[S3dition]

One year ago today we lost one of our precious MechWarriors to cancer. Sarah Marie Alida Parries was a 5 year old that loved playing Mechwarrior Online with her father. While Sarah is no longer with us, I feel that we can still enjoy a passion that we shared with her by signifying today as Drop for Sarah day.

You don't need to do anything special but drop at least once (even if you haven't played for a while) and play one game in support of all those who have been lost to cancer, or have survived it. Almost every person alive today has been touched in some way by this terrible disease, and this is a small way for us to come together and let them know that they are not alone in their struggle.

If you have Sarah's Jenner, please run that at least once today. Otherwise, drop in your favorite mech and enjoy a game for those who can't.

Also, feel free to post in memoriam for those you wish to dedicate your drop to.

I play my Sarah´s mech once a day anyways. But today its the only mech i will drive.

There was a huge wave of condolences for the family with support starting a year ago. This came into some people calling for a mech to remember her by and PGI figuring a way to bring this mech out there.



Now is the time to remember and to Get'em Good.


Our mission is to walk up to a baddy and make them blow up.

Could only drop a few times today, but today its for all those like Sarah... Grab a Jenner and have fun for all those who can't. :-)

BTW, they should re-issue Sarah's mech each year on this day again for charity. I would totally buy one.

Well, in this case, they could even put up a new version each year, and create a collection, i wouldnt mind

It would be nice to have a kind of donation collection of mechs for MWO. I'd play more games, but today is one of my 12 hour volunteer days at a tribal college, so I can't login.

Lets keep promoting this! It would be nice to rally around this every year.

Hers and a JR7-F (named SARAH and SARAH II, respectively) are the only lights I own.

Painted hers and the F similarly with hellblau light blue...instant Smurfette.





This was, and still is, the only thing PGI got 100% correct.

First post for me....logged in just to say I would buy this mech in a heartbeat as well if they'd offer it up for sale once a year...either today or her birthday. This is the only mech I'm bummed I couldn't buy....I think I started playing right after the sale ended.

Here is the PGI video that came out last year. They were thinking about a few hundred, but they delivered over 6,000 early due to so many donations. Over 12,000 of us have these mechs.

The second annual Drop for Sarah day is coming up on Saturday (5 days away). Get those mechs ready and drop for those who can't.
