After we've received your team's application, each team member will be contacted via email with a request for more information.

PGI, can you expand on this? I would like to know exactly what information you want from participants and what it will be used for.

And what if NO ONE wants to burn premium time unnecessarily?

They are providing team captains with free premium time.

Just ignore the sound of helicopters near your home. It's nothing to worry about.

We could really use a "Mercs 4 hire" subforum.

If anyone needs an extra hand, message me. I'm probably the best pug you could find anywhere :o

Can I second this?

That is the kind of thing us Lone Wolves are supposed to be doing, right?

Edit: Got a group - best of luck Helm!

There needs to be an EU division! Plenty of EU teams knocking around that would probably jump at the change considering this is an official PGI tournament.

Well, I almost got excited. Being a family person and all, I never have time for the demanding dedication it takes to be involved in those large alternate life groups. I just come here to play a game. Contests are awesome, but I'm feeling a bit left out of this one. This is all new to me that a company would exclude such a large number of people. And I don't buy into the "we provide advertising and recruit others" crap! I've never been in a "MWO click*" and have brought 6 players in to try the game not recruited from the game, lol as well as spend an average of $50-100 a month to do my part in supporting a game I frequently play. I also know many others like myself that due to real life (jobs, family, living*) get moments to jump in and out of such games when they get a few minutes of free time and PAY there fair share of support... although since the PGI team adopted the fan sites to the quick links in order to try and avoid giving everyone a lobby chat room, I have noticed clans heads swelling rapidly. Heads getting so big there wont be room for the rest of us soon. lol

Woah woah, we've had plenty of contests that are perfect for the casual player. Mech bays and everything. The fact that they are creating something for a particular group that doesn't represent you doesn't mean they are slapping you in the face. Let the teams have their tournament. Everyone can be catered to.

It's fantastic that PGI is starting to focus on the team aspect to *supplement* what they've done for everyone else.

I posted a thread in the General forum that can do the trick. Just put your name there and teams needing a few extra players can message anyone they want.

But they catered to everyone despite it's flaws. This type of tournament would be fine once they got in CW and players can match up in game. Right now it will just create a wedge in the community.

No, they do NOT cater to everyone. I have never taken part in a solo tournament because I have zero desire to do so. I want to participate in team based activities, and I bet I am not alone in this feeling.

There are still solo based Tourneys and solo based achievements and solo based Challenges. A team based tourney may not be 'for' the entire community, but it can be enjoyed by the entire community, especially if it is on Twitch.

Sounds great but was hoping for a lance tourney first just to get some better organization working towards the 12 mans. Also was hoping for a more automated system built in game with flashing lights and Bettys voice saying "One hour til your tourney starts, make your way towards the arena" with a little clock timer in the corner. Still sounds like fun though ;)

Since "beta" is in the title can we respond to complaints with "Its still in beta"?
