Looks like a lot people stopped poptaring to level a few new Mechs. poptart quote was very low and overall the Matches were a lot fun.

actually, see it that way: its mothers day, people go and visit their mother that day, maybe losing one day to play MWO. This means 2xXP is to compensate this.

Now on fathers day, here in germany many men go out and party. Meaning they will be partying on fathers day and then "regenerating" on the day after. So we need compensation for 2 missing days then.

Dad's are one the great foundations of this game. Give them something special like a C-Bill weekend.

That's the very least that can be done for men that have to jump through hoops to get even that one minute
of game time before they are forced to take out the garbage or change little Billy. Most of all make dinner just
when the games are getting good.+

Got the master module slot on all the Thunderbolts except 9SE currently. Thunderbolt 9SE I got all the basic skills and Speed Tweak. I'm going to see if I can get the master Module slot today before the event stops. It's crazy to see 4k+ xp from a single game. Then I got almost all the basic unlocks on Wolverine 7k with just 2 wins (double xp weekend + daily bonus woot).
After I unlocked the speed tweak I realized I built my Thunderbolt 9SE was like a Catapult, 2 LRM 15, 3 medium lasers, 1 tag, 4 jumpjets. I now feel guilty for doing so, yes it works, but I should probably try building something that's more specific to the 9SE.....and not so everything is in the left torso, even if that gives me an excuse to use an XL engine which is a bad idea on thunderbolts. I suppose I could use Large Lasers in the right arm, Mediums and Streaks in the side torso for a few matches.

Check your winnings after a match - if it lists 600 for a win/ 200 for a loss, you are getting it.

NOTE: it is not listed as a double - they just double the base XP values.

Nice weekend! Picked up two hero mechs at wholesale prices then mastered three Cicadas and an Ember in 63 matches. Thank you 10k - 11k XP first wins of the day! I'm sure next post I'll be back to complaining about something, but until then, kudos.

In general, the matches this weekend have had more variety than normal, which is awesome ... speaking of which, I almost bought a few Awesomes, just to try out and take advantage of the weekend.

Instead, I bought the Ember (thanks for the Hero 'mech sale, too!), the new Shadow Hawks, and the C-Bill Quickdraws ... all of which now have full Basic Skills (some even have a couple of Elites).

I hope that there are other events like this that encourage more of the "do what it takes to win" crowd to try out 'mechs that might not be optimal. (Disclaimer ... I did put my try-hard pants on and roll with our team through the 12-man public queue for a few hours, but the vast majority of my time was spent trying out new 'mechs.)
