Seriously. I thought we were supposed to be able to repaint all hero mechs now?? But the majority of my ember stays blue no matter what I do. Please fix this pgi. The blue does not work with my color schemes I didnt pay mc for a blue mech

The ember had blue on it when you bought it, so technically that's exactly what you did.

Haha, thats cute. Except, you are supposed to be able to repaint all hero mechs, and it did not say on the ember store page *disclaimer: most of mech cannot be repainted. Thus, as far as I was aware, I bought a mech that would soon be black with red accents.

I guess the reason for the permablue is because it's metallic. The art team have stated that they cannot make metallic colors repaintable.

You are not alone! A lot of players are annoyed by PGI putting customization limits on paying customers. Please tell them to let us actually have the option to paint our Hero mechs like WE WANT by COLOR & PATTERN!

they told us to post there, so let your voice be heared!

Also Phoenix variant mechs could get camo patterns, the so called geometry differences of Phoenix mechs are just put on armor plates/grills that have their own color and could very well stay on the mech no matter what pattern the mech has.

With Founders and Invasion mechs the differences are bigger, but at least PGI could let us switch the geometry to get access to modifying our mechs if we wish, until their art department has the time to provide camo patterns for ALL mech geometries.

As it is PGI denies customization to their paying players!
Which is very irritating as giving players the option to buy individualisation options is a very elegant way for f2p games to earn money without the risk of beeing p2w!

Haha so true! I allready knew that I could not put a real camouflage pattern on my Ember as every player who actually payed PGI for their game gets stuck with some silly clown parade pattern.

I also bought the Ember and also wanted to put on red/black colors with maybe some white highlights, because I do not want my mech to run around like a baby blue kindergarden toy!

But hey guess what, welcome to the monotone blue toysoldier army....


And to all the "Hero mechs need to have their pattern and colors stay fixed to make them unique and special"-sayers: Running around in the very same pattern and the very same color as everyone else in his ember does not make me feel unique and special at all! If at all it makes me feel this other kind of "special" or just looking stupid.

It Kinda makes it hard to make a unified Team color scheme when we cannot change our colors 100%.

I hope Clan Mechs and the future Hero variants don't have these issues. Do you suppose anyone will be repainting their gold Mechs if it causes them to be singled out in a match?
