I got bitten by the 4.0 gb patch download a few days ago that broke my game install. I re-installed the game yesterday and it worked (after being forced to abort the patcher three times).

Today I get the patcher trying to make me download another 4 GB patch which I start and then abort immediately and restart the patcher. Repeated this 5 times and no help so I tried the workaround with !MWOClient.exe flowthru" but when trying to login it says that there is an update available (my ass there is!).

As of current I'm unable to cash in on the double XP weekend.

edit:
Setting patchbot.cfg proxy=0 launched the game with passthrough but told me there was a patch available.
Setting my DNS to google dns (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and then restoring patchbot.cfg worked to get me into game...

Yeah tried those they didn't help. but I got it fixed with google dns.... silly
