I do not know, is it just me? Am I going crazy?

According to my stats, most played map happens to be Terra Therma, which is one I hate most btw.
This is true both by # of matches and # of time played by hours and minutes.

For me, the distribution seems pretty even, all maps have now about 80-90 matches since stats reset. Except it seems like the maps with two variations ie river city / river city night and so on only have half weighting in the randomization, and their combined amount is about equal to the others.

Edit: For some actual numbers: I've had 82 matches in Mordor, the most is 94 in Caustic. Maybe I'm just lucky.

The match maker knows what map you hate the most so it goes out of its' way to make sure you play on it.

Tourmaline and Terra Therma are equals at the top. 34 each
Forest Colony and River City are equals at the bottom. 11 each

The rest, are between 20 and 30.

And, for the record, i hate this map too!!

For me the most annoying Terra Therma is just obviously played by the server most of the time.

As for today:

Terra Therma: 03h36m (29 matches)
Crimson Strait: 02h55m
HPG Manifold: 02h25m
Alpine Peaks: 02h33m

outstand everything else

Frozen city and River City
(8+5 matches, 13 matches total?)
are the rarest of the maps played by server for me, only 44m each

It is indeed the primary map on my 3 favorite Alts!

For me, Canyon Network followed by Therma followed by Tourmaline.

I like to believe that the map selection is done by some nice pseudo-RNG that looks uniformly random, so that no matter what server you play on, even if you switch servers constantly, it always looks like even odds of any map.

On my archived stats I have 409 games on Tourmaline. The next closest map is Forest Colony with 287 games....

Currently HPG is leading but I've only played about 500 games since the wipe. It has almost 3x as many games as my least played map River City.

It's also very much worth noting that River City and River City Night, Frozen City Snow and Frozen City Night, Forest Colony and Forest Colony Snow all count as one map with their "opposite" counterpart.

Add those up, and the map distribution seems fair (at least on my end), within ~15% of each other. Believe it or not, Terra is my least played.

Seems to be actually working (as opposed to Working As Intended™)

If you add the maps with variants together, distribution is relatively equal. Time played is shorter on the smaller maps but that is expected.

Once you realize that maps with variants need to be combined you see that the map distribution is fairly balanced.

I dont think the current "variant maps" should have a combined chance to load.

I think its unfair, simply because everyone seems to hate Terra Therma and Alpine Peaks.

I personally hate River City Night the most, but id much rather take that chance if i get more games on River City, and both variants of Forest Colony and Frozen City.

I still dislike Alpine and Terra and even if Therra Therma had a frost variant i would still dislike it, simply because its, in my opinion, the worst pug map, along with Alpine. (and caustic to a lesser extent)

Terra Therma is tops on my list as well, but with a 1.77 win ratio, I guess I will live with that... Higher than all of the other maps for me, which is bizarre since I dislike it so much...

yeah here too. there was a period of time (A REALLY ******* LONG ASS PERIOD OF TIME) where almost 40% of matches were suckland mordor crapville.
