I dunno about this, I already see far to many ecm mechs, having 4+ ecm mechs in a match seems to happen waaayyyy too often and it cripples a pug teams ability to react or enemy movements.

Mind you if every clan mech was running ecm it would practically force a re-think of ecm.....

You don't know much about currently available munitions for artillery do you? Artillery not being a primary weapon in the current world is only a result of the asymmetric warfare in Iraq/Afghanistan simply due to the amount of collateral damage it produces. Fight army on army and any smart commander/general will use weapons that produce the most casualties for the least amount of effort IE artillery and other long range bombardment weapons. If properly utilized in combination with scouts artillery/mortars/MLRS can be used to completely eliminate the opposing force without ever needing to expose your main force to harm.

that's not counting variants equipped with Angel ECM (2 ECM) Watchdog CEWS (BAP+ECM), or the Nova CEWS (BAP+ECM+C3i). If those were added to the game, I'd imagine the rage from the haters would be heard as far away as Strana Mechty

It still sort of works out the same, if Config A has the best omni pods and Config Z has ECM in the CT, you can still put all the omni pods from A onto Z so you essentially have Config A with ECM in everything but name only.
