3025 JagerMech, listed at 5.2 million C-bills, 3025 Catapult 5.7 million.... Vulture (Mad Dog) listed at 15 million C-bills and change... so sounds like roughly 3 times the cost of comparable IS mechs is a reasonable ballpark estimate.

Cost: 5,368,837 C-bills
Timberwolf
Cost: 24,233,124 C-bills
So it seems to be about twice as much as an equally equipped IS 'Mech.

15mill is probably just to buy the chassis. Your going to want more to refit it to your style. And wile you may not be paying for endo, FF, or double heat sink upgrades, you will be paying for different side torsos and arms to get the optimum hard points for what you want to achieve. So best bet, if you want to play a Dire Wolf, save about 28-30 mill just to do one.

I figure it will probably cost ~7 million (Kit Fox) to ~35 million (Dire Wolf) to buy and refit a Clan Mech. Slightly more than double the cost of an equivalent Inner Sphere Mech.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately...and even though PGI is taking steps to try to keep them in check- I think Clan mechs are going to be really powerful....shoot, I'd almost go so far to say that just the XL engines that take up less slots and don't die from side torso crits make them worth double the C-bills right off the bat.

In a podcast they said 2 at a time. I would assume it would start at the bottom of the totem pole and go up from there. So my money is on Kit Fox and Nova available for MC the week clans come out and cbills the next week. Summoner and Dire Wolf the next month and so on.
I'm at 13 million and I'm thinking maybe a little premium time and breaking out my hero mechs may be needed. I'm thinking I'll just skip the first batch and get the Dire Wolf first.

Likely as with the Phoenix mechs they will be release for C-bills on a monthly basis.

Well yes, weapons in general weigh less and XL engines in everything means more PEW PEW

I hope they are. They are supposed to be. But I hope that their power is balanced in a way that allows them to be scary yet still beatable. A lot of the over power-ness from TT comes from them being pitted against STOCK IS MECHS. Yes, not the min max mechs we have strolling the field. The other part comes from better pilots and equipment. But most is from facing against cheap, unmodified factory mechs bought in bulk by the houses to fill their armies.

- MWO has flat pricing for engines. Engine price in TT was determined by the weight of the mech and the rating. For example the 300 engine in a Dragon cost less than the 300 engine in an Atlas.
- TT had a straight 25% increase in price over non-omni mechs. PGI might decide that there is no reason for this since they are supposed to be balanced.

No.... Because that would make sense......
I just wonder which mechs will even be available for C-Bill purchase at release. I've seen some people speculating about which it will be, but it's been just that, speculation.
Bottom line, I wouldn't get too excited.

They could be really cruel and start at the kit fox and work their way up with 1 mech a month

The Dire Wolf can carry 4 x CUAC/10 with 10 tons of ammo and 15 double heatsinks. They can take all the steps they want, but short of a massive across-the-board nerf to Clan technology they're going to be better than Inner Sphere Mechs.
None of the "tweaks" to Clan technology that they've talked about so far impact this Daishi build at all. Simply buy a Daishi Prime and swap out the torso Omni-pods for the "B" variant. Doesn't need to modify the engine. Doesn't need to modify armor. Doesn't need to add or subtract endo steel or ferro fibrous.
There's a reason it was nicknamed the Great Death.
