Not against meta. It just dies, horribly.

Very true. Its fun, but not exactly competitive on any level. I'd take my IV over it any day!

Honestly, I sometimes do buy champion mechs at 50% off - but ONLY, and I make this ONLY if they carry an XL engine that I want/need for other mechs as well.

If you're new, and have a little bit of money to spend but no XL engines, try to grab a champion with an XL300, for example. You will use it....and swap it between mechs...over and over again, because so many mechs can run it (and run good configs with it).

Nah, this Champion Jenner is 2.5 times better than buying C-Bills with MC. But the Jenny, sell the Jenny and the components, net 3 mil c-bills.

This would probably be why the Stalker champion has an XL engine despite common sense saying "No! NO! GOD NO!!!" to XLs in Stalkers.

It's an excellent point, however. Champion mechs sporting XLs between 280 and 300 are superbly useful as they are among the most used XL engines you'll ever own and will make the rest of your life as a Mechwarrior much easier.

I anticipate the sale of a LOT of Jenner Champions for that reason alone.
(The instant cbill multi-billionaire option is probably the real reason it will sell faster than McDonald's 99 cent hamburgers though).

#Only one problem with that, Champion Mechs don't boost Cbills... only XP. so they are redundant unless you want to pay your way to a better mech, rather than grind.

XL275, XL300, XL325 together will cover a wide array of chassis to master. Sometimes, you will find yourself in a situation where a 295 would be best, so the 275 will not be optimal. It'll do reasonably well very often, though, and you'll be able to spend those 5 million c-bills on buying or working towards yet another variant to level up.

Sure. first a few questions.
1: Does the sight of skinned babies and kittens on fire make you squeamish?
2: Are you politically indifferent?
3: Have you ever had wet dreams involving a Commando and an Orion?
4: Do you accept Domoneky as your Lord and Master?
5: Are you allergic to Garlic?
6: If a train left Brooklyn traveling west at 66 mph and a train left Los Angeles traveling east at 70mph, how long does Purple eat?

1: Does the sight of skinned babies and kittens on fire make you squeamish? - Babies no, Kittens yes
2: Are you politically indifferent? - I hate politics
3: Have you ever had wet dreams involving a Commando and an Orion? - sadly... yes
4: Do you accept Domoneky as your Lord and Master? - who?
5: Are you allergic to Garlic? - thankfully, no lol that would truly suck
6: If a train left Brooklyn traveling west at 66 mph and a train left Los Angeles traveling east at 70mph, how long does Purple eat? - How did Barney manage to fit his wide *** on there to begin with?!?

Why does the Highlander picture have a tiny blue basic mastery icon above it in the OP? Only this mech does, is it a sign!? :)

1) Banana
2) Poli (ce) or (tics)?
3) I dreamed I was using a Commando to hold a Victor's head underwater till he drowned once, does that count?
4) Depends, if by "Lord and Master" you mean "Target Dummy", then sure!
5) Gladly, Happily, Thankfully, no.
6) Taco.
