You assume something which has not been proven one way or the other. You see this can only go bad.. I see both outcomes, and don't obsess if the bad happens.

I observe past behavior and use it to predict future outcomes. I have not regretted for one second that I did not buy a Founder or Phoenix pack. I understand full well that the clan mechs may in fact be freaking awesome. I really, really, really hope they are. But it's like they say, hope in one hand and poop in the other, see which one fills up first...

LOL stereotyping! Just because 5 guys wearing pink speedos like the company of other men does not mean the 6th guy you see in a pink speedo does too hehe

Stereotype: a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

If you put a dollar into a vending machine and press the Coke button but it gives you a Sprite instead you might think it was a one time glitch and try again. If it gives you the wrong drink again and you say the machine is unlikely to deliver on what it advertises that is not stereotyping, that is freaking common sense.

My reasoning is not based on a stereotype. Observing past behavior is widely recognized by science as the best way to predict the future. PGI has failed to deliver CW multiple times, forced 3rd person in despite outrage from the community, failed to fix SRMs for more than a year, failed to curb pinpoint builds, ignored everyone who told them about all the problems they allowed to fester, and basically failed overall to deliver on the vision of the game they outlined at the beginning of the project.

I have no goodwill or trust left for PGI. If the clan mechs turn out to be really well done and not require months of tuning to be acceptable then I will be pleasantly surprised. If they then deliver CW in the fall as they have once again said they will do then I will view that as a turning point and be willing to spend money again.

Old school yankee. Don't buy nothing unless its a deal and dont make payments on nothing avoiding becoming a Debt slave. I drive $500 dollar vehicles that I can leave on the side of the road if they break down and rent a new car if its a hot date or a long trip. When it comes to mechs I have been burned buying based on emotion so it has to be a chassis with a track record now. Not to say when the Dashi hits the bricks as a solo sale i will drop coin and show my support but no preorder here.

You better hope they keep the ala-cart pricing for a while becuase buying three clan mechs (so you can master) with MC will be crazy expensive...like $50 per mech based on TT pricing.
(PS I am not saying the clan packs are value...I will not buy them...but they are cheaper than MC purchasing. Of course, I would never buy any non-hero for MC but that is a different story)

The main story is that if PGI goes with TT pricing for "equal but different", CB pricing, MC pricing will make clan mechs out of reach for large parts of the population

I haven't even looked at anything that PGI has released pertaining to the clan mechs. Not one screenshot, not the price list for clan packages, nothing at all.

Because I'm not even the least bit excited about it. I could not care less about this watered down "clan invasion".

Everything that I have heard about it feels like something other than the BT that I have known and loved over all the years. Clan mechs where you can change out the entire arms? Really? So basically to really modify my mech I will need to get all of the variants of say, the TimberWolf? That does not sound at all like a cash grab.

Everyone knows about PGI's shortcomings and such in the last few years, so I'm not going into all of that. I just can't believe that something so simple as a friggin map of the Inner Sphere to fight over is still missing from this game. I mean not even a screenshot. Instead we drop, either get rolled or do the rolling (MM makes for few close battles it seems) just to mech up and do it again....and again....and again..... I have over 40 mechs all mastered, and I only pilot the same 4-5 regularly. So other than mastering some new mech that I probably wont use that much whats the point?

So why do I still play? Because I'm a creature of habit. Because I still keep hoping that some kind of miracle will happen and PGI will turn this into a great MW title. Until that happens, I am not buying a single mechbay.

I can applaud you position and at the same time thank you for still playing. More then money, players are the key to a successful F2P. So to that end I say thanks.
