hey, i want to enjoy this game with good fps, (60 fps at least , but i cant the max i have its 30 droping down to 20, most of the times, i have a i7 2800hz, with 8 gigs of ram, with a gtx 760, i can run games like battlefield 4 on ultra without any problems, even the game that uses the same engine warface and even crysis 3, i need some help to improve a bit the performance without sacrificing much in textures

An old i7-930? :P

Look: Poke around the forum for "user.cfg" stuff, and set a framerate limit of ~45; You've got plenty of "cores" on that thing, but teh GHz is lacking.

You may have no choice but to set you Object Detail, Shadows, Particles, and Environment all the way down to Low.

There are, conversely, a metric ass-load of overclocking guides for Nehalems like yours, and you can still come by coolers for your motherboard.

Memory, on the other … How'd you wind up with eight gigs? :)

My cpu was the 1st i7 on the market, i have 8 gig of 1333mhz ram, 4 sockets cant remember the config maybe 2 gig each,
My motherboard is an asus p6t, i know i dont have the state of art cpu but it still makes wonders even in the new games.

I dont want to upgrade my cpu anytime soon lack of moneyz, i do want to play this game fluid, but i cant without sacrificing textures, even so, i dont get the good frames, in the testing grounds i get up to 100 fps since the introduction of 12mans... i hit the ground :S

it kinda sometimes infuriates me :S, i dont have any problems run other games with the same engine, crysis 3, even warface, this game i dont know why and how it gives alot of problems.

Iam not alone in this, i have friends with the same issues but they are used to it, unfortunaly i cant :\

tks for the feedback

I feel for you OP.

Thing is the engine here is NOT (quite) the same as the games you mention. By now its essentially a custom rolled version based off Cryengine 3. Some of the net code is completely PGI rewrites to the base engine to allow for some of the unique variables this game uses. (or so we were told)

Thing is your rig ought to run very well indeed, please send in support tickets about it (if you haven't already done so) maybe if enough folks say:

"Hey our computers are plenty powerful enough to run this - how about an optimising pass or two!"

PGI will then detail someone to do someone to optimise the game back to the default standards of Cryengine 3...

Meanwhile if you want frames you have to sacrifice details some place if your one of those whose computers has some small bottleneck some place. Lose the film grain and or cockpit glass I'd suggest they add so little to the game (if anything) you shouldn't miss them.

Overclocking your CPU is your best bet. The game is very CPU intensive.
Also turn off cockpit glass and film grain using the config files.

I run 30fps at medium on an old QX9650 @ 4.0

Your memory is the biggest issue for MWO (including the memory controlle of your CPU)

switch to DX9
turn off motion blur
turn all video sliders to the left/low (advanced video settings) but following to high:
- texturing
- shaders
you can also go with objekt details to medium or high .. just make some tests.
