It'd be nice to get some more info at some point
Don't even get me started on how we know nothing about the variants to be released.
How can you expect people to drop money on something you won't tell them about?
I mean, I know it's something this company loves to do, but fool me twice shame on me.

Hey man, some of us are still waiting to be told what our "loyalty" points do so we can pick our damned Phoenix medallions.

basically what "fool me twice" was referring to
I'm half expecting the bonus modules will be similar to the command console

On Friday, Russ said info was coming soon, but not to hold our breath over the weekend. I still believe that they would sell more clan mechs if they revealed the details. At the rate it is going, we won't reach the fourth community reward before the 17th.

I understand what OP is saying, it would be nice to know exactly what those "bonus" modules will be. IMHOP they won't be worth crap, because if they are then everyone will scream PAY TO WIN. The Warhorns are also a concern, not every match but at least one out of five I have some 5 year old that has figured out that he can spam the command button so we all have to hear the constant annoying noise. PGI, seriously, most gamers are intelligent, rational beings. However, there are a good percentage that are about as mature as a 5 year old, let me share some advice, NEVER, EVER, GIVE SOMEONE WITH A CHILD'S MENTALITY A BUTTON THAT MAKES NOISE. Because they will hit it like a fat kid with a free cookie button and drive everyone around them insane.

Why are you surprised

phoenix mechs loyalty bonuses are still not functioning after they were announced last july

Did you really expect warhorns to be any different.

This is why I hope it's just something that plays when you get a kill like Heavy Metal's kill effect.
I don't want to hear war horn spam.

I agree. It's laughable that PGI keeps putting these "extras" that come with these packages, which are supposed to entice us to buy high rated packages, but they neither tell us what they do, nor tell us what they are.

Based on the community unlocks right now it looks like the clan packages are selling very poorly. And I suspect that the reason they're selling so poorly, at least partially, has to do with the large volume of people that they completely suckered into purchasing high end Phoenix packages that they still have not completely delivered on, what, half a year later?

PGI totally missed it on the Clan pack. I guess they're expecting a lot of last minute purchases but they should take a look at what War Thunder did with the Ground forces beta/packs and why War Thunder made a killing off it.

Waiting till the last minute to release information is just a recipe for disaster. To be honest, I've been half tempted to ask for a refund.

They already have a function: they allow Arty, Airstrikes and UAVs in stock mech mode, that`s pretty cool IMO.

Kinda funky that WE had to ad the functionality, but sometimes if you want something done you just gotta do it yourself ;) ;)

How can they release information on things that they have not created?

I seriously doubt that warhorns, bonus modules, etc. were anything other than a rough concept prior to advertising them in the clan packages. And I doubt that they're much more than a concept right now, considering how they've been scrambling to fix so many other things.

They just thought that they were a cool idea, so they threw them out there, figuring that they could design, and implement them later. I think that have done that with quite a few things, and they always end up under the gun, or completely missing the deadline. read: loyalty points

Very True, I haven't purchased a Clan Pack yet, when it was first announced I was like "Hell yeah!" But then I thought about my Phoenix purchase and I was like...... "I barely liked 30% of that...... Only use the Shadowhawks, Griffins, and some of the Wolverines......" Those "loyalty" bonuses may have done something but they just kinda walked away and forgot about them... A few friends want to get me the Clan Pack for my bday coming up, but I may just say "Pay for a raging party and booze instead guys."

So far, PGI reminds me of the college student that waits till the last minute to do their final, then in a fit of desperation, hits the internet and copies/pastes something off Wikipedia.

Same story here, holding off on the purchase. Not on the booze, though, I like that attitude ;)

I think its pretty reasonable to assume the warhorns and bonus modules will have little to no impact on game play. I would base my decision off the mechs, weapon mechanics, variats, etc. And you would be correct to say it is hard to buy the package when we don't know much about these things.

There will be plenty of time to decide if the package is worthwhile once they announce the end of the sale. If we still haven't heard details by that point I'd take a pass on the whole deal.
