Of course, it's much less useful if you already own the three available FS9s.

Yeah, I assume it's for the people that didn't get the PP pack, but since it is so much like the non-PP versions, I'm not seeing the point... Other than the minor income bonus, does this variant do ANYTHING that the others can't already do?

No. Champions never do. Just 10% XP bonus.

XP/Cbills/whatever, lol. 10% is pretty weak regardless... which is why I have never purchased a Champion.

Compared to the non-champion FS9-S you have pay around 4.5 mio C-Bills for 295XL and additional 1.5 mio for DHS to bring it to the level of the champion.
I think it's your choice if want to grind this money or pay MC ... anyway: the usual MC to C-Bill conversion is more expensive then a champ!

I'm not a picky person, and I don't really make a fuss about camos or colors, but if I'm going to pay MC's for a mech PGI could at least supply the camo for a Champion mech, so it looks different than the standard variant nuff said!

Yeah, bought it because I wanted the camo/colors... my own fault for being too excited and not seeing the disclaimer for pattern and colors. Though it was a bit annoying he premium time activated automatically and added to my current running premium time. Still fun little mech tweeked it a bit, put a DHS into engine, added ferro, and swapped the CT ML for a MPL.

I don't disagree with you. It's a pretty cheap and easy way to get a second XL295, though. That's the appeal for me.
