I think the real problem is that everyone thinks they should win all the time or at least a majority of the time. When they have a bad day and lose one to many times they're gonna blame it on something and for now they blame it on the matchmaker not balancing the teams. Once that's working right, people will just find something else to complain about. I don't mind the glitches it happens hell I can think of a few big names that screw up just about every game they label but PGI is responsive so its no big deal.

In any case,I could care less about balanced teams besides its not tonnage or class that would best balance the game. For the public matches go simple trash all the tonnage and mech class crap. With one bit of telemetry you can balance game play. Just grab the 24 players and do team assignment by player skill. It doesn't have to be complicated you could just compare hours played and balance the teams out that way. What does tonnage or mech class matter if the guy at the controls doesn't even know he'll never be on the Red Team.

In all honesty I would have been happy with just a couple of new maps.

It is worth noting similar issues could be encountered with any other rules system imposed on the matchmaker and have more to do with the increased complexity of that matchmaker system. [/color]

[color=#00FFFF]Class limits are now, once more disabled in the backend. News on Matchmaker will continue to be released as we draw closer and closer to having something that is not only stable and fair to the players and teams, but also provides reasonable wait times. [/color]

[color=#00FFFF]We were able to receive a great deal of useful telemetry data from your successful and unsuccessful attempts to launch which will help us provide an even better system later on.[/color]

[color=#00FFFF]A couple of changes to the back-end are about to be introduced at 3PM PDT / 6 PM EDT / 10 PM UTC, which should resolve any further matchmaking delays until we can release the next iteration of the matchmaker in a future patch.[/color]

[color=#00FFFF]The hot-fix will NOT require any patch on your part.[/color]
[color=#00FFFF]If you click search again at that time, everything will be back to normal. All players in a game will not be affected.[/color]

It seems from all the lineouts in Nikolai's OP that they no longer need - or are interested in - information regarding our wait times for matches. Whatever hotfix they implemented didn't seem to accomplish much.

geeez.... it would be nice to actually be able to PLAY a game -any game- once in a while. This is beyond stupid.

this wait time , trying to get a match is ridiculous. I like play my assault mechs, but the wait time has made me look into something else.

The monetization of private matchmaking is what made me decide not to invest any more money in the game.

Now that waiting time on public matches exceed actual playtime, I don't see any avenues to continue playing...

Uh someone needs tell Nikolai Lubkiewicz that the hot-fix needs a hot-fix, nothing has been resolved.

Well, I understand the attempt to have the wait times help the community police their own match balance. Side effects of getting people to try other weight classes would have been positive, too. However, something seems to have cropped up. I also don't think it's something that could have been found until exposed to the general community, since I'm betting it's load-based. OTOH, I am not especially thrilled to have plenty of time for bio breaks between matches. I'm really close to just signing off until it's fixed.

I love to play everyday....i got one game in today after 25 min of waiting. this is why i wont pre order any of your unstable product.

I just want to be able to play and have fun, which was working fine. win or lose, doesn't overly matter not that a huge losing streak isn't annoying, I'll sstill contrinue to play.

having to wait 5+ minutes for a game is a lot. before the is patch and even after their rollback, I could get out of one game and into another in a minute.

I have gotten ONE round in today....ONE...

I have no other mechs to choose from except lights...I have 2 heavies but they are stripped down.

Wish I hadn't sunk that money into MC during the MC sale.

Wish I didnt' have obligations to other players on my team.

I'd go play something more fun than WaitWarrior.

no sh@t, i just watched Roller Ball, not the new one but the original with James Caan, i watched them blow up the trees with the laser pistol, i watched them play Tokyo with no rules and limited substitution, i watched Moon Pie get the death blow,and then i watched Jonathan put in the winning shot, then they wanted Jonathan to stop Moon Pies life support, and he said no, then the corporate guy, you know, the guy from The Paper Chase, John Houseman, told him to quit, and Jonathan was like all Eff you old man, then he want to Geneva to talk to Simon the super computer, who stuck it up Jonathans ass and told him nothing now there going to New york for the finals, and i'm still waiting to drop.

One thing that would help is if once you're dead, don't spectate and re-enter queue. Maybe this would make more people available for MM instead of floating in 8-10 minute chucks or 24?

So far my longest wait was 9 minutes on my first attempt. Averaging 4-5 minutes now. If this is going to be the norm, please return CBILL earning to post nerf level.

I'm finding it hard to understand the original edited post. It's not clear to me what change they implemented at 6pm EDT. At first it suggested the class limits were being incremented. Then that was crossed out. Then it said they were being removed, but that was later crossed out with a vague comment that things will be back to normal in matches starting after 6. But I am still getting 5-6 minutes of wait time which is definitely not normal and the mech percentages in queue are still being displayed.

A bit confused here ....

That would REALLY slow down the pace of this game. It was working yesterday. I didn't notice balancing issues, and I think the whiners who did were . . . whining. Maybe this is one of those natural consequence lessons? "You want matchmaking? Here's your balanced matches you were looking for! Just enjoy them once every half hour."

Whatever they did, its not working.

I'm seeing 15 minute queue time (worst i've ever ever seen) while dropping solo in any weight class? wtf?
