No Nikolai! Say your engenieers, this is NOT the pre-patch MM. It use an about 5-times longer searchtime. So please ask them, to go in the storage room, and find that 2 weeks old backup-disc, and just patch it again.

Can we get a hot patch to make LRMs and SSrms hit targets again instead of going through them for no damage? I'm just flabbergasted that this keeps happening every patch something critical breaks that was "fine" before.

That would negate the new 'Mechs they sold already, since they're also part of the patch. Can't have that.

FFFFUUUCCKKKITT just do a stat rewind PGI back to the begining of closed beta and start the hheelll over. Game over!!!!!

Of course PGI has 3 staff members left for this game a mech builder,a terrable net coder,and a sorry forum PR guy.
The rest of the MWO staff has left to start a new game to milk the fathful fans of.

cool....now hotfix THIS
Just got out of testing ground. Waiting for slow honking upload speed to youtube videos.

Testing condition, 1 Trebuchet Loup de Guerre kitted with 2x LRM10 (720 rnds, for 36 volleys) 2x SSRM2 (100 rds, 25 volleys) and 2 medium lasers. Tourmaline desert, all weapon systems fired independently...LRMs til ammo depleted, then SSRMs.

Target Commando CMD-1B, 128 total armor, 84 total Internal Structure Points (212 mage damage should disintegrate ENTIRE Mech) and Cicada 2A (128 total armor, 134 IS total destruction 262 hitpoints),

Test 1, Commando at 182 meters, 18 volleys of LRMs (360 rounds for 396 damage) before CTD (lovely stable client, PGI)
Test 2 Commando at 196 meters, 14 volleys and dead (308 total damage)
Test 3 Cicada at 190 or so meters, remaining 22 LRM volleys (after test2) (242 damage) and 25 SSRM volleys (200 damage) and NOT destroyed (442 damage)
Test 4, Commando at 509 meters, 10 volleys for 220 damage, destroyed.

LRMs appear to be showing SCALING damage (much as proposed for "sub-minimum range" Clan LRMs) with damage registration improving the farther one shoots from.

Will post the videos when they finally upload to Youtube. Though with a 2 mb/s upload space and an average size of 600mb, don't hold your breath, lol.



and yeah, I'm gonna post this every bloody place, until either you ban me, or you fix it PGI,.

Just did a similar test. 1020 missiles at 200m to kill the Awesome... through the back.

Normally, I do a "Tourmaline Torture Test" with 1980 missiles and usually finish with about 400 left. I ran out by going in this order:

Awesome - killed through back with help of 1ML
Cataphract - killed through back with ML help
Centurion - killed through back with ML help
Jenner - ran out of ammo, not killed.

It took 1020 missiles for the awesome alone, and the other three mechs split the remaining 960 missiles near equally.

This is unbelievably bad.

Twice 3/3/3/3 has attempted to be implemented and failed.
If it fails a third time, quit and find a new system.
Like, I dunno, overall tonnage.

I think LRM's and SRM's have the same problem.

If multiple missiles hit, only 1 or 2 of them register damage. The rest are ignored.

You can avoid it (to a degree) by chain firing missile weapons as opposed to grouping.

They did to a degree... but now it's far worse.

This snake needs a new head. Someone in leadership needs to go. In business when there's these kinds of issues over and over again with a product the company finds a new captain for their ship or they sink. Please stop pointing fingers at the guys under you and just accept that you had a good run but it's time for a change. Blackberry couldn't accept it, MS booted fatso after too many issues and the Xbox team got changed up after their launch issues. I have personally met you guys at the launch event, I believe the passion is there, and the love of the IP, but seriously, time to give someone else a shot to stop the bleeding before it's too late. If not, how long before your board of directors does it for you?

3/3/3/3 is worth it. Just don't skip it until two weeks; stay on this until it's fixed. Patch it, collect data, reload, fix. Patch, collect data, reload, fix.

Matchmaking like this has a degree of testing in production necessary. The problem isn't a couple hours of inconvenience - the problem is a couple hours of inconvenience, then two weeks of waiting. Then a couple hours, two weeks, etc.

Hammer it out, get it done, do what needs done to make it work. Pull the bandaid off.

Fixing the missile stuff should be pretty important too.

I love how missiles in particular break with such astounding frequency. Since the start of open beta, this has been the case... Missiles grossly overpowered, missiles totally broken, missiles hilariously buggy, missiles grossly underpowered. Its never a balance issue, just that they never actually work.

So missiles are broken now? sigh... had such high hopes for this patch, but right now it dosnt seem like its worth it to even log in. Ah well good thing im outta town the next few days then I guess. Hope its fixed by then. was just havin fun again.

Love how you guys jump on praises. Was it even necessary to post this useless bit?

As far as 3/3/3/3 is concerned, just admit that you don't have the player base available to make it work. Just fix the matchmaker to match tonnage again everyone will have a much better time OR you could make public lobbies with tonnage limits.

We are customers test on the TESTSERVER :)
We have lost premium time what will you do now PGI?

If we want to play with 12 mechs ofthe same type then let us do this - the matchmaker should create a group of the same style (12 lights against 12 lights or a mix of the same mechs)

How do missiles get completely broken as well!?? Seriously! And you wonder why so many folks have left the game and/or don't want to spend money on MWO anymore?.... LOL

MC items/features never seem to be broken though...do they?
