Crashed to Desktop? Fatal Error? Frozen? Let us know what happened here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
 • Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which?
 • Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
 • What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
 • Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
 • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
 • What are your System specs? (You can include them in a [ spoiler] [ /spoiler]
In some cases we've seen that deleting the shaders folder and relaunching the game will solve these crashes and related issues.

Simply delete the shaders folder located here by default:
C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\USER\Shaders
Otherwise, please use our new repair tool, which will verify your game directory files and repair any file issues:http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/
Remember to contact us at support@mwomercs.com with your dxdiag for additional 1-to-1 support from our Game Masters!
To find your crash dumps for support, the file is labelled "crashdump.dmp" and the default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\USER

"Server Connection lost" all the times. All other works fine (other Games, Browser, team speak, skype). Internet connection is aktiv with 12k.

This is not the first time this happens. Only in MWO i have this problem.

I reinstall microsoft.net frameworks, i set mtu to 1464 - but no chance.

Dont know what to do.

"CryEngine Error"
"FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read."

Only choice is to hit OK, game exits.

Originally, I saw the dialog when trying to join a match. Then I saw it again while browsing mechs in the mechlab. Currently I see it all the time upon login, shortly after reaching the mechlab.

I haven't changed anything since the last patch, everything is set to "medium".

Client consistently hangs on a black screen when exiting the game.

I had to run the repair tool anyway as my shaders for nightvision and thermal imaging stopped working post-patch, so it did not fix the hang issue.

Yes, a good chance the client will crash on exit. Still a present bug which came with UI 2.0

Also this:

"...screen freezes up but I can hear from audio that the game is still going on. Fired off my lasers and I could hear them go off..."

Ok I really need help here, I am super stuck and cannot re-install the game. Let me explain:
Downloaded the most recent patch (As of May 22nd 2014) and was having crash problems when joining multi player games. So I decided to un-install and then re-install the game. However, upon re installing I open the patcher and the big orange button says "patch" Upon hitting that button, it says download complete on the progress bar, and a MD5 Hash error appears on my screen, saying the file does not match the one on the server. I have completely un-installed the game, and have even tried installing it at a different directory, but to no avail.
Also worth mentioning. In the installer (the 60mb installer that is) which ever directory I choose, it says that pirana games folder already exists in that location.
Also note that I successfully joined games yesterday, and have had crashes since the most recent patch.
Please help me out, I have just started playing this game and have no idea what to do.

When I enter training grounds I can see the my HUD and control my mech, but the screen is very dark and I get the connecting wheel spinning. The only way out of it is to cntl-alt-del and close the game. Seems to happen more often if I have a webpage like smurfys open, but not always. I know of at least two other players that get the same bug.

That is a known issue, already acknowledged by the game developers (don't have the forum link at the moment). I also don't know how far they are in fixing it...

Only "crash" I seem to experience is the neverending "connecting wheel" when I try to go to testing grounds with a new build for the first time.

No changes made to settings since the dawn of time.

Every time I launch a game after the client finds a match it can't connect and I am left with the "connecting" screen until I am forced to manually close the game in the task manager. I've tried different video settings. My drivers are up to date. I tried using the repair tool which worked for one game then the problem returned. I've tried multiple fresh installs and deleting all the temp files and using the registry fix tool recommended on the forums and none of it works. Prior to the introduction of U.I. 2.0 I never had any problems with the game's performance but since I've returned to play it, I've had almost no success in actually connecting and playing matches. I've also made sure my firewall settings allow the game and made sure none of my power settings affect my network adapters. I've spent over 200 dollars on this game and am very frustrated with my inability to play it. I appreciate your assistance.

My game keeps crashing. It has happened about 5-8 times over the past 2 days (today being 5-26-14) and I have been in several mechs (Jagermech, Battlemaster and Thunderbolt) when it has happened. I was dropping alone every time and the prompt that pops up says this: "CryEngine Error FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read"

How about fixing the weapon groupings. Everytime you patch (and sometimes randomly) the set weapon groups on a mech change. This is not only annoying, but costs matches if you don't notice it at the beginning.

My game keeps crashing sporadically after the connecting screen and before the level screen pops up. It keeps saying "CryEngine Error FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read" but I haven't changed anything with my computer or with game settings. I have no idea what to do to fix it.

I just installed MWO after not playing it for a while. The install and patch were successful. After I log in and the game is loading the mechlab, I get a crash back to desktop. No error message. I have tried reinstalling a few times along with a registry clean. I have also tried using the repair tool. Still can't get past the mechlab loading screen. I even deleted the shader folder as mentioned above. That didn't help either. Seems like the repair tool is also trying to place the shader folder back in. What else should I try? Is this a problem on the dev end?

Does the same thing happen if you login with a different account? It's possible you may have a mech that's bugged.

either way you should contact support@mwomercs.com who will then request the crash dump files so they can diagnose the cause- even thou you didn't get an error message, there should be crash logs being generated.
