Obsidian, now that's a name that I could drop $240 on and not even have to worry about it. They have a PROVEN track record and one of the most influential pedigrees in the industry.

I quite liked the South Park game.

Already regretting my choice of not doing so and going with MWO instead. Figured what the heck, meet up with guys I've known for 2 decades or so and relive old times. But it's hard to do that with the ineptitude of PGI.

Reeeeeaaaally close to getting a refund and pledging to RSI instead. At least I know that will not only come to fruitition, but he's passionate enough to make it the best he possibly can.

From what I've seen thusfar with MWO (and learning about their past), my confidence level for PGI is hovering around 2%.

Something is horribly wrong.

Remember, a year ago it took FIVE salvos. I have this on video. FIVE. Now it is between 19-23. Really?

Four or five weeks ago it was 8.

What the ********.

There's no reason you can't play both. SC is very old man friendly, so I got people who've NEVER played space games into it. Also check out elite, and guilty gear is getting a new installment this summer.

2014 is the year of good videogames.

Actually it will. ACES was using a pair of Awesome-8R for LRM 60 platforms.

Cattra and company just had their strategy scrapped if they don't revert the patch or otherwise fix it before the next round.

well, if it might make part of the NGNG crew look bad, then you know PGI will fix it........

Haha, I had a great time killing anything with a missile mounted in game; they can't hurt me at all!

According to Paul "nothing related to missiles was touched".

So I told them that they might want to log in and IDK... PLAY the dang game?

yup I just fire all 1440 lrms I had mostly in line of site , mostly hit I was expecting around 500 damage my normal for that sort of performance , I barely broke 200. was pathetic they broke lrms bad.and I further proved it in the training grounds hit detection is way off now.

So in the bubble they live in lrms have not been broken this patch, so I assume we can expect there to be no fix any time soon?

It's like when they said machineguns are totally fine, despite videos like this proving that they weren't fine.

Try not to lament over the loss of graphical fidelity since 2012.

Add SRMs to the list, too! Remember this post of mine a few weeks ago? http://mwomercs.com/...__fromsearch__1 Reference it... I just ran the same test on the Catapult on River City with my SRM 6 x 2 Trebuchet... 22 meters, same angle, fired... 28 salvos to kill it. That's right... TWENTY EIGHT SALVOS OF 2x SRM 6 to KILL IT! That is... 28 x 12 or 336 missiles... for a grand total of 672 points of damage before it died. 672 points of damage from 22 meters aimed right at center mass! Now, I am a Science Fiction writer, I must admit. I can concoct all sorts of absurdities and incompetence in print. But this is real life, folks! This isn't fiction! This is really happening! I'm not good enough to write this kind of reality! What we have here is utter, trash-tier incompetence. How on earth is this happening? Several weeks ago the same mech was coring out and killing the Catapult in 8 salvos, or 96 missiles from practically point blank range. Now it takes 336 missiles... or 250% more missiles?! Wait a minute. It is literally 250% more. Hmmmmmmmmm... 2.5... Tiny pennies don't matter. They will never know. A penny here, a penny there... OH! Looks like we got a decimal point error... possibly... or worse? Who knows? But I find it amusing it is exactly 250% more. But SRMs are only 2.0 pts of damage. Good grief. What exactly goes on in Vancouver? A lot of us would like to know! edit: Sorry folks, it is 350% THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT! It keeps getting worse. Now I can do math properly.

Just looking at these numbers, it seems like there was a decimal shift. My catapults normally have like 64-70 armor depending on how fast i'm moving in it. 672 damage seems right on par to be off by an order of magnitude.

No, I told myself I wouldn't post until there was something to actually talk about. It took 8 months for something to actually happen in the game.

It just seems that the devs need to custom build the whole game from scratch.

From what I understand so far, too many issues have come out of having to fix problems from inherited code, while trying to do their own thing with the cryengine.

They did...working as intended:

Paul_Inouye@Paul_Inouye 1h
@russ_bullock @ANKolod There were no changes done to missiles, not in code and not in the item data.
