Instead Of 3/3/3/3 It Should Be...

The lights and assaults should comprise the least amount of mechs per group with more emphasis on medium and heavy composition. This also falls in with the lore, and the fact that there are a hell of a lot of mediums in the game.
Thoughts?

Then leave the regular MM bucket like it has been up.
And then lets see how many people will 'ACTUALLY' play all that junk.
Cause really. I have no great problems with teams and odd weights. Makes for some of the best matches. Just becasue the other side ends up with all the assaults. Does not mean they are going to win..

role warfare wont work with the mechlab. pgi killed the idea of role warfare when they decided you should be able to pick any mech and make it fit the role you want it to be. the best thing they can do is go back to the weight class matching system the game had back in beta.

And then, when clans come out the 10v12 is already implemented.

This is coming from primarily an assault pilot.
I want the feeling of killing another Atlas and knowing there's only one assault asset left on the other team.
This way assaults can be terrifying again. Not this crap we have now where they're dogfood.
And lights too would be valuable, seeing as how if they go down, you lose intel.

That's... actually sort of correct. It doesn't matter what numbers you put down, 2/5/5/2 or 8/1/2/1 as long as the matchmaker says 'you must have this many class X" to go on this ride, its going to significantly slow down queue times while it waits for the magic X number to fill up.
Overall weight limits or/with multiple mechs queued is the way to go.

True, I had a match last week where, at first glance. It looked bad. (7 Lights, 1 Med, 3 Heavies, 1 assault, my team, 6 Assault, 3 heavies, 2 Meds and a Light on the enemy team), Funny thing is, my team won. So personally I think that this 3/3/3/3 mess should just be dropped, 2 tries and they've botched it both times. Sorry PGI guys, you know its true, time to just give up on this idea.
And fix the LRMs, SSRMs and LBXs (My LBXs have been having sporadic range issues since todays patch, sometimes they fire properly, the rest of the time they drop like badly fired lrms at 250m and end up falling and hitting the ground, sorry, I don't record so I can't show it)
