I've read so many threads in the past 24 hours about 3-3-3-3/4-4-4, unintended LRM/SRM damage reductions, long wait times etc that frankly I can't keep track of what exactly is the current status.

Before I log in and try to play a match, can anyone clarify for me:

1. Are we using 3-3-3-3 or 4-4-4 or something else at the moment?
2. Has the LRM/SRM damage bug been fixed yet?
3. Are the match wait times currently 5 minutes or less?
4. Is any other thing broken (beyond the long list that was already broken prior to the last patch)?

Thanks in anticipation of your helping me achieve clarity.

34 is the drop restriction. It was causing long delays. specially if you did not heed the percentages when you hover over the launch button.

5+ sounds about right. 3+ if you obey the launcher warning.

Basically PGI is not working, though it isnt a surprise. The best indication of future performance is past performance.

1. Rolled back 3/3/3/3.
2. LRM/SRM code is borked because of Clan LRM/SRM code stealthed in and trash.
3. Match times are still taking a long time.
4. Maybe it would be easier to tell you the things that arent broken. You can buy clan packages, cockpit items, new mastery packages and Hero mechs.

Hope that clarifies yesterday's patch for you.

Don't forget the flags. We're all supposed to buy a flag for the cockpit of the Mech we can't drive in the match we can't get into :D

lol I was solodropping. Everything felt like the usual 5 - 8 minutes.

All I know is I dropped right after the patch. Saw the same twelve man I saw in the past week or so. Thought that was not supposed to happen so I asked and they confirmed they were all on the same comm channel. You know what happened next. I think it was just over four minutes and the last one was hunting for our spider.

In one hour I got three matches dropping solo with no restrictions and following the class drop guide.

At some point I hope someone will have the nerve to be honest about all this.

Depended on the Alt I used as well. I was unable to get a match as Joe, I got 2 minute waits as Marduk, 3+ as Xando and Anton... Maybe Elo affected this as well???

  • Matchmaker
  • ELO
  • SRMs
  • All other missiles
  • HSR
  • Mech scaling
  • Ghost heat
  • UI 2.0
  • The test servers, apparently
  • Probably a bunch of other stuff

I know you knew all this already OP, just felt like giving a slightly more comprehensive list.

The current situation (based on recent patches in particular) is similar to when a mech is going to die to an ammo explosion. The mech is already doomed, but it just hasn't blown up yet.

What is working:

1) Auto-cannons and PPC's... mostly

2) The Store

3) Mechs

What is not working:

1) Missiles of all kinds - freshly broken!

2) Various weapons that haven't been useful in ages, if ever

3) HSR and hit registration in general

4) Community Warfare

5) The "Ready" button

6) UI2.0

7) Mech scaling, especially for mediums

8) Your Phoenix package loyalty rewards and badges

9) Game balance, including match-maker and 3-3-3-3

10) A lot of other stuff
