Reading through the forums, most of the gripes people have with the current meta (too many strikes, pop tart meta, ECM, etc) aren't an issue in Stock. (Oh, an apparently, Flamers work!)

I had a blast Monday. A Thunderbolt 5S is a tough beastie. Used a Locust 1V and - shockingly - was a valuable contributor to the team. (especially after my brother's Thunderbolt knocked out the other team's only Jenner with a long-range shot) Thumped about in a Centurion banging away with the trusty old AC/10. And trotted out the BLR-1G and overheated like a boss.

I now grind the other days of the week so I can buy more stock 'mechs.

Glad you could join us! Stock Mechs are a completely different game than the PUG queues. Matches are longer. Mechs soak in more damage. Chassis that used to be fearsome are very much that once again. And you have to be conservative of your ammo and heat, because both can go out of control in a hurry. It's like being in the closed beta all over again.

About 12:48 someone says "I bet they are falling back to D4" and that was the point we were all assembling to make the push over the dropship hump. You guys didn't see us because after our jenner died your lights pulled back from the fire we were giving them and you were blind at the exact moment we made our move.

Thanks for the vid, really interesting to see what you guys saw/didn't see. There were a couple of times where I was thinking "Oh if they had taken 3 more steps they would've seen all of us." Kinda wild when that happens.

Our medium lance got out of position during the first battle as we were flanking you so they ended up being to far back when the assault lance mvoed up. That may have cost us a kill early on which may have swung that first battle. I also missed a critical PPC shot that would have killed the highlander. The things that happen during battle.

The second battle, we got a little spooked as you fell back over the armpit. Phsychological effect of LRM's. We were just getting setup into a firing line when you rallied and charged back over. If you had delayed about 60 seconds longer things may have been different as well, although at the point I knew we ahd lost any advantage we had. Definately interesting battles.
