That's the best defense for this sort of mess. I don't have to deal with a wife but I do have to deal with a GF and a FWB that think video games are stupid. First thing you do is point out that the total cost of their outfit is well over a grand and that dinner last night was 200 bucks a person, things calm down real fast. So their habits and splurges are just as insane, they don't mind paying for that, I don't mind paying for games and electronics.

Most modern games run $60 and your done with them in a couple of weeks. So if you get more than a months worth of play from this then the investment is totally worth it. In addition you get the opporunity to snub Elites as a lower class. Join Legendary and be part of the 1%

I sold off a few items from my Demon Hunter on Diablo 3 to pay for it. IMHO it was well worth it. Though I think using my gaming habits to pay for my gaming habits might not be the greatest of ideas.

Just don't let anyone else rule your money but you! Husband, Wife, gf, bf, whatever. Always keep some cash to buy stuff for you. I just hope the game lives up to the hype I have been so far. That to me would be the only disappointment.

I find that to be perfectly acceptable. Using one to pay for the other means less out of your immediate pocket.

as far as the LF pack, i reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy wish i had 120 right now. we'll see how things look friday. i also may need to upgrade my rig before launch. don't know where all of this money is going to come from.
