Unijar and Mogoi sped back to the waiting Jumpship, BlackFang, their GM-5600 sub-light drives propelling them at nearly two full gravities. Word from signal-intercept was that Theta Galaxy was about to finally begin it's expeditionary role for the touman. The invasion was soon to begin.

The Smoke Adders (Theta Galaxy of Clan Star Adder) represent an inclusive, world-wide approach to casual and competitive gaming in the Mech Warrior franchise; we are a Clan-lore based organization that savages our foes and works with our pilots to be the best.

We value a team-play approach that welcomes disciplined initiative, and tactically patient but aggressive play style. We maintain a casual environment that strives to enjoy the game, but recognize that in the competitive spirit of things, winning takes practice and effort and put time into that facet of the game as well.

Smoke Adders compete in Marik Civil War, the MWO "First Engagement" Tournament and will be competing in additional community driven leagues in the near future, all in an effort to prepare for community warfare in whatever form it understakes once unleashed by PGI.

We promote a mature environment that does call for a good sense of humor but we do not do l33t-sp34k, "ggclose" or poor sportsmanship in general. Win or lose, we do not see the need for trash talk and being great at this game does not require an ego.

If you are interested in a Clan-lore based organization that:

- is not a threat of becoming a second job
- adheres to facets of the Clan-canon such as Trials of Position, Zelbrigen duels, Grand Melee and other Clan style events
- believes that highly organized, synergistic game play is more important than the "meta" (whatever it may be)
- can embrace the fun of casual four mans and then turn on a dime to conduct 12-man competitive play
- runs dedicated practices and scrimmages against other units both to prep for competitive play and to just have fun

Then we might be the organization you are looking for.

For those who completed their ToP/ToE in another unit, that will expedite your vetting with us. Additionally, those wishing to apply as a small group will be able to maintain their sub-unit (Star, Binary) identity if they wish it.

We strive for quality people over quantity,care about pilot development, getting better as a unit and actually enjoying the game without drama.

Trials of Position tonight, the selection and competition for a new Blood Officer and the Trials for a new Star Commander all this evening.

Congratulations to our newest Mechwarriors, Blooded Warriors and Star Commanders!

In incredible battles, all of our warriors acquitted themselves as Mechwarriors worthy of Theta Galaxy membership.

Mechwarrior Mugz earned his position in a valiant combat in an accelerated Trial of Position and while unable to earn Blooded status in his first contest, clearly acquitted himself worthy of the Adders.

Blooded Warriors RED SMith, DarthRevis and Wyrmskull dispatched a foe apiece to earn their status within the Touman concretely.

Star Commander Lantheren earned two kills to complete his Trial of Position and Star Commander Bobothemonk one in an accelerated Trial from the seat of a Trial-Light mech!

They will add their ferocity and cunning to our Touman. Their skill in battle shall send our enemies screaming in the night, running from fang and venom!

Additionally, with upcoming scrimmages against Marik Gunfighter's Alliance, the Apocalypse Lancers, Clan Star Adder and others, our involvement in Stock Mech Mondays and Marik Civil War tournament matches against Black Star Alliance and Phoenix Dominion, we NEED more, capable, mature and fun loving pilots to assist with all of the Mechs that need destruction! Our roster needs both competitive oriented as well casual oriented pilots to take on these multiple invasion fronts.

As you can see, the fighting is fierce and plentiful. Throw in the simple joys of dropping into combat with a 4-man to sharpen one's fangs and you can see why we still search for a additional complement of Warriors, both for the casual and competitive arenas!

Just to reiterate, as this came up recently, pilots blooded in other Clan-lore based units who left in good standing will not be asked to re-conduct the ToP (once vetted and voted in) if they apply, unless they choose to undergo it as a way to accelerate their chances at higher billets!
