Long, long time ago. During the days of Kali, before the empire, before the Facebook,
I ran a intimate little merc group, Wolf's Dragoons. We were active in several ladders in the Netmech95 era, and despite some civil wars and rifts remained active until MW4. An offshoot, the Roughnecks, was fairly active in the Tribes 2 community as well.

Was just wondering if any of you wayward wetnoses are still out there, and if so, interested in pulling off more of our legendary Dragoon DFA manuevers...

[ Note: Was also a member of Iron Brigade - MW4 Division, once the Dragoons went silent, in case there are any Iron Brigadiers still out there as well. Went as "Moby" with them]

Fascinating. I used to play back on Netmech, but it was used in conjunction with the Mplayer.com service (what later became Gamespy Arcade) that existed back then as well to keep in touch with clan mates. But now you have me wondering if my memory is serving me correctly, if I was in Clan Wolf, or Wolf's Dragoons. It was soooooo long ago. I played or years till the community died out as a result of the Mplayer.com service getting bought out by Gamespy. We played up to the Ghost Bear's Legacy expansion, but when Mercenaries came out I lost touch with a lot of my clan mates. I don't even remember what my online name was back then so I couldn't even say "Do you remember me?". Oh what I wouldn't give to revisit those days, just a kid back then, bought my very first computer game (MW2 at release), and became unnervingly proficient in a Nova and the art of DOA kills. Pure bliss...

You read my mind! Those were really good times. I loved the Mesa canyon map in the netmech days.

I rolled with Clan Wolf back in the MW2 days on MPlayer, good times. The lag-shooting was truly a test of skill.

Meanie! LOL!

I know, I know, and will be true to the timeline; think of it more as CROATOA written on a wooden tree... more of a rallying cry to see how many old school MW2/Netmech95, MW3 and MW4 players I may have played with or against crawls out of the woodwork.

Cheers wetnose! :)

Hmm, I wonder if it was my Dragoons, or the off-shoot that formed after a far much young me vanished from the group during the NetMech '95 days (original MW2 group split into two, a few remained loyal to me, and stuck around for MW3 and the start of MW4 (prior to mercs) and the spin off group that got tired of my vanishing acts that was far more active for a while.) There were a few other "Wolf's Dragoons" outfits depending on which ladders or leagues you were in.... still feel ours (and the splinter group) were the definitive lances.

So glad to see so many crusty vets from the ol' days.

Well I did not play Netmech, but I am a dragoon. So, join up in one of the allied units if you'd like.

Sammael<WD> / [WD]

I should have looked this up before.

I was in the original formation of the WD in the Kali/MW2 days.
The only other name I recall, duBtyme (excuse my spelling) also being a member at the time. So long ago.

And Targus... you seem familiar too

Daigoji Gai: what was your first handle back then... Things are getting familiar. Gaijin or something?

I made the initial 3d renders images for the website and didn't abandon the group when things started to fade.
Does this sound familiar? Its been 15 and more years.. wow

DueBtyme (you got the spelling close) is a personal friend that I met online ages ago, and still is. Diagofi Gai I don't remimber you (what was your handle back then). I was the first leader of the old WD (netmech/ Dos Kali). Some real life events made me have to "retire" from the WD. DueBtyme was my second, and he had to leave because of his work schedule back then. I belive Biohazard took over then. Some of the other guys I remimber are Col. DG (Bio's Brother), Malic, and a real pain in my butt Extreme.
My handle now is the same that I used back then. I have always been Kromm in every online game I played.

Kromm!! (I just remembered and I hope you remember me too)

I also remember, DG, and Biohazard too.
I also remember a Malic and Extreme being a real pain as well :P

Are you in touch with any of the others? (Are any of them here?)

(& check for friend request)

Sammael....

You do sound familar But it has been a LONG time. The only ones I have kept in touch with is DueBtyme. Which he now goes by Cruzzin. He isnt playing any more, even though I have told him to check out the web sight about the game. Then there is another friend of mine (Adam) that lives here in town that is into Guild Wars 2 right now, but for some reason I can't remimber his handle from back then. As for the rest I have no idea about.

I don't get much playing time anymore, But I will keep an eye out for you and look for your friend request. I am on only a couple of times a week right now.

Great! I hope we can find others and convince the few left to have a reunion of sorts.

I also just found this rough 3d render output I made. : (Last ‎Wednesday, ‎January ‎29, ‎1997, ‏‎1:58:28 AM) I can't rememberthe date it was originally created exactly, but a more completed version of it was used for our make due Dragoons website at some point...
I also made other images for us, but this is all that still remains in my possession.

I am terribly pleased to have found one of the others and at least the names of some more of the members that eluded me until now.
