Yea much better! Still little big at the CT but much closer to the Concept Art.

But the Sarna Pic looks better... Massiv looking arms big feets. Looks like a Beast. Because the torso is well sized and midtorso looks much rounder.
Posted Image
Small looking arms, small looking feets and just because the torso is so big and midtorso looks like a Boeing.
It just looks like that it is out of proportions . (On "this" screenshot)
But maybe its just the fisheye screenshot effekt.

camospecs.com shows the actual BT minis. PGI's models a fairly close to how they look, while the popular coverarts you see of the DW are way off.

I looked over the minis and must say.... where is the PGI Version closer to it? Also the Minis have big looking feets and big looking arms and smaller Mid Torso.

But...that CT! :) This:

is not this:

Once more this is the result of PGI not designing a system that takes mech art
into account. No mater what the art team creates, once the mech is modeled and enters play
it must be photo shopped into some sort of arbitrary balance.

Notice the massive size difference between CT's. If this is a case for unique art....
its how PGI is slipping in pay to win since it become PTW when the CT's have different surface areas.

'Greyish' is there for both the Smokes and Ghosts :) Our system only takes a primary, secondary and tertiary colour for each Mech. While the spread of colours has a distinguished and unique look, It would have been unfair to offer a bonus colour scheme that only promotes one Clan.

So instead we get to see Clan Harlequin? :(

One point.

Most if not all of the clan Omni mechs are going to have the majority of their hardpoints in the arms.

This means that big arms = easy to remove arms = easy to disarm (no pun intended) mechs.

Oddly enough, for clan mechs large torsos (madcat) are not nearly as big a deal as large arms due to the XL advantage for clans.

EDIT: Woops, I got too excited, someone already posted this and I didn't check. <.<;

Looks like someone updated the clan page in error, either that or they gave up on announcements. They're showing the Direwolf and put up the gold versions of both Nova and Direwolf in the gold section. Coincidentally there's apparently less than 5 TWs left, and under 50 of the Warhawk, Direwolf, Summoner, and Stormcrow now too.

Looks like the unloved offspring of a Masakari and a 747.

Edie: No I didn't see that joke pic above before posting.

Since the colours borrow from each palette of the four major invading Clans, this almost seems like the work of the Khans undergoing a Trial of Decision by Committee.

Let's also keep in mind, colour customization is one of the first things you can go for once you get these Mechs. Each of these three unique colours can be added to your palette and used side by side with your preferred colours.

That still doesn't do anything for the fact the Dire Wolf looks so damn derpy.

The camera adds 10 tons, 20 at that angle. Let's reserve judgement until we see this beauty in person instead of judging it by it's photograph.

Towards that goal, we do have some video clips of the Clan Mechs being put through editing for use in a teaser to better show off these Mechs. :)

Don't judge me!!! Big is Beautiful!!!!

In all seriousness, if it's just an angle issue...... considering how many initial shots of these mechs have looked HORRIBLE..... might be time to find a new photographer? :( (It would cut down on the community revulsion, significantly, lol.... or at least redirect to to other things.)

I don't know, what's wrong with it, but new style looks like too cartoonish and toy-like. I don't like it. Old was way much better - more serious. May be it's due to this stupid camo?

Actually, Id be ok with the ovid shaped torso, if they would just retract the damn SHELF at the top, and keep the side 'mufflers' where they are. THAT would look closer to original art, and still allow them their own visual style. After that, thicken the arms a little bit, and we'd have a servicable Dire Wolf.
